I agree that a great set of bits for a screwdriver makes everything much simpler. I've got a really nice kit from iFixit which is similar to this one → https://www.ifixit.com/products/pro-tech-bundle

What, no sonic screwdriver? But seriously, you can combine two tools in one with a multi bits magnetic screwdriver; not only the bits are hold magnetically, but they can retrieve loose screws and help not lose them in the first place by holding them on the tip of the screwdriver to get to hard to reach narrow spaces.
