Every day myself and the co-host brainstorm what the main topic of the day should be. That's the one we dive a little deeper into after we cover the top stories.

We're trying to provide a little more perspective, understanding and thought provocation beyond just the daily grind.

We don't just cover the Pepper Bot coming to Taiwan but talk about what robots are good for. We don't just talk about Microsoft ending support for older Skype platforms, but discuss how long we should expect software to work.

What evergreen topics would you like to hear us talk about? Post your thoughts in this open thread.

Thanks bosses!

I would like to add to the list of great ideas already presented in previous comments ways to make new technology more accessible and easier to use to aging relatives. There is usually (always so far) some hostility and fear towards the new technology and anxiety about all the changes happening in their lives. Life is very scary for them now. Everything familiar is going away. Their TVs are getting more complicated (refresh rates, pixels, OLED, LED, plasma). Their phones are getting more complicated (what's a data plan for? I just need a phone to make calls). Their cameras are getting more complicated (what's mega pixels how do I view and print my photos?). Their TV recording is getting more complicated now that VHS is pretty much dead. Their music is getting more complicated (How do I buy music? What do I do will all my tapes and records? is 320 kbps enough? what's an mp3?). Their books are getting more complicated (What Kindle should I get? How do I buy digital books? How can I lend my digital books to my friend? what's mobi, epub, pdf?) You get the idea. Their whole analog world is being too quickly replaced by digital. How about a short segment once week I could have them listen to it to get familiar with all this stuff that I just can't seem to explain to them. Of course, first I will have to explain to them what is a podcast and show them how to find them and listen to them. EDIT: On second thought. This may be better as a book (print version).

Y'all are impressive. Just cataloged these suggestions into a list that Roger and I will work through with my co-hosts. Thanks!
