I love Roger, but calling Ann Arbor boring was one of the weirder statements I've heard expressed on this show. I understand that being a kid may have coloured some of that, and summer is different than school year, but Ann Arbor is widely considered one of the more unique and interesting cities in the Midwest outside of Chicago (even amongst Michigan State or Ohio State fans!)

Not having lived in Ann Arbor but having worked temporarily nearby I would agree with Tim. Shops, restaurants, street art and performance spaces were widely available.
