You’re right about the abusers deserving it more. But the thing you have to remember is the girl set up her hand maid knowing full well she was going to get punished for it but didn’t care. She actually says out loud “she’ll probably be beaten for this but, well, there’s nothing I can do about that.” Aslan scratched her back to teach her empathy. That her hand maid isn’t just some tool with no feelings. Because although she is an abuse survivor she still has the mentality of someone born with way too much privliage.
