Fun fact, this movie was made at the same time as A.I. with a shared budget. It was the only way Spielberg could convince the studio to let him make A.I.

An excellent episode and yeah I like this movie too. It’s fun. Didn’t know the book or rather short story was so dark though

Fun fact: so much of the futuristic tech coming true was due to Spielberg going to consultors with the goal to make tech both futuristic *and* plausible, the example that comes most readily to mind would be the glass panel that had the newspaper in it as a hologram - that's what we'd call a tablet. :D
