Ok sooo... You might notice something SLIGHTLY different about this episode. My doctor recommended I take a few weeks off from recording to help my throat heal. Regular programming should resume soon.

Fahrenheit 451, Lost in Adaptation ~ The Dom

How closely did the 1966 movie adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 stay to Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel? Funnily enough I mentioned in the survey that I hadn't seen it but upon seeing the footage went..."Wait a second I have!" Oops. Sorry. Still good review and I love Erika's performance.

This video on Youtube is going to attract "Certain People" isn't it?

Also if you have bloopers or behind the scenes footage I would love to see it since this is so different from the norm. Would love to see you directing.

Ten minutes in. While I love your assessment and insights about Fahrenheit 451, I really need to point out that Bradbury has openly stated in multiple interviews stated that Fahrenheit 451 is NOT about government censorship, and it was only partly about his fear of television destroying people's desire to read books. However, there's another component: the book is a warning against greater diversity and "political correctness" destroying people's appreciation of 'great literature.' IN this LA Weekly article: "Bradbury imagined a democratic society whose diverse population turns against books: Whites reject Uncle Tom’s Cabin and blacks disapprove of Little Black Sambo. He imagined not just political correctness, but a society so diverse that all groups were “minorities.” He wrote that at first they condensed the books, stripping out more and more offending passages until ultimately all that remained were footnotes, which hardly anyone read. Only after people stopped reading did the state employ firemen to burn books." http://www.laweekly.com/news/cat-rescuer-shawn-simons-ultimate-aim-no-more-feral-cats-9487383

I don't know who this lovely blonde woman is, but her voice is SEXY! Here's hoping that Terrance's polyjuice potion turned out to be a bit more potent than expected. :)

Not finished watching, but before I forget to say: I think the shorter intro works far better!

At the 20:00 mark. I would so love a wood paneled flat screen TV! Why hasn't that happened yet?
