I am pretty annoyed about the cutting out of smaller characters from the show. And the way it handles that, especially. What I mean is, you'd expect the show to compensate for taking out characters by making the ones that are left contain all the concentrated interesting and awesomest things that the many different characters they take up had in the book. Instead we get, for example, a night's watch that is both far less populated and far less interesting. I mean they leave Dolorous Edd in the show, but they also make him be nearly completely humourless, hardly ever cracking wise. Big letdown for me.

"The traitors want my city... but I'll give them naught but ashes. Let Robert be king over charred bones and cooked meat" - Mad King Aerys A Storm of Swords, Jamie V. It's not exactly "Burn them all" but he at least said something similar. I'm not arguing the change only that it may be misleading to say that there is no reference.

Small thing you left out. In the book Ned tells Catelyn to ready the North in case of trouble, specifically to fortify Moat Cailian, and to keep an eye on Theon to ensure his father behaves. A minor thing , but still an emission.

Nice summary but I'm wondering that once the Hobbit trilogy is over if you'll do Misery for a Halloween special or something...Please?

The omission of the list of things that Cat definitely needs to get done before war breaks out (which she then promptly ignores and starts the war instead) is one of many signs that the showrunners are unwilling to have certain characters be as morally gray as in the books. Or as utterly incompetent, in the case of Cersei.
