Let's muddy the waters further - the third book, 'Life, the Universe and Everything', was adapted from Adams' unused script for an unmade 'Doctor Who' movie called 'Doctor Who and the Krikkitmen'.

The Dom, you appeared to have left out the two LP Records of HHGTTG and TRATEOTU. (both appearing in the early 80s). They were not the radio versions but were amazingly faithful to the books, still. (If you wish to listen to a copy of the first one, let me know and I can link it.)
