Pledging (Patreon)

Hi!

I have been talking about updating my patreon, which you guys may have noticed with the new banner and new uploads and new goals.

Do you guys like it?

I also want to update the pledging prices, I don't really like my art to be expensive, I want as many people as possible in the furry fandom to be able to see it, so I need you guys to vote, am I too expensive? Or are my prices okay?

Patreon has helped me ALOT, and since I don't have many people who pledge, it would kind of be a risk to lower my prices just before my next student loan bill, but if I got more people interested enough to plegde, at least enough to cover my current patreon income, it would help alot, but this is a risk because I don't know if more people would pledge if I lowered my prices.

This is where I need your help, should I lower my prices or keep my current prices for now?

I know being more active on here with uploads would get more people to pledge, if interested enough in my art, that's an issue I know I gotta fix with myself.

I'm scared of liking that comment because I don't wanna be looked as a greedy person .D. But thank you, I do want to lower my prices so more people are able to pledge and look at my high quality art, wips, hq animation and high quality future comics

If i were to try to come up with reasons at a glance as to what is keeping your patreon back it is because of a few things. One, it is not entirely clear what pledging will get you. $1 will get you basic Lineart, but what does that mean? Is it patreon exclusive content? Will you get early access? The same is true for the High Quality rewards. Are they exclusive, is it early access? What are tasteful nudes? What makes up Fanart? It is unclear. Two, the rewards for each subsequent tier do not build on one another. As in, if I as someone who really fancies your Fanart, I'm going to have to pay for 4 tiers of SWF/Tasteful Nude content before I can get what I want, at $15 per month! Ouch! I would personally combine all categories of art, with the tiers separated by quality/wip availability. Three, there is no ability for people to vote on ideas, instead for your highest reward tier people can talk to you and suggest idea's, which is frankly quite lackluster. I personally would prefer not to be bound by votes, but it is a very valuable thing that you can offer. Simultaneously, like myself you can cycle through themes for each idea, so you don't end up drawing the same thing over and over. It isn't easy, I restructured my Patreon last month because like you I noticed I seemed to have hit somewhat of a wall. It was pretty scary because I was effectively slashing my prices in half by going monthly (opposed to two updates a month), but i felt it was necessary to keep growing. My situation isn't yours (I do animations which take a lot longer) so take that for what its worth. I hope this helped at least a little, good luck!

So basically I have to update the rewards regarding the prices but not the prices themselves? I do want to remove some tiers till I have learned to balance some of the tiers, I tend to just upload the HD versions, not lineart or psd files which I have to work on as well, maybe that's where the issues is xD But thanks alot for your feedback!
