Just over 12 years ago, I ran a story on deviantART that was pretty well received: Penelope D'Arcy - Working Late.  The story, which you can still see here https://www.deviantart.com/torqual3d/gallery/28856507/penelope-d-arcy-working-late featured Penelope in her office, having a confrontation with the mysterious Agent Four aka Redback.  Even though the story ran for 44 panels (a record for me) it was never finished, which was a regret I hold to this day.

The unexpected breakout star of that story was Penelope's unfortunate secretary Lianne Shaw, who was collateral damage of her perilous spying.  The first time we saw Lianne she was already knocked out.  Poor girl never had a chance.  I didn't spend much time on making her and she only appeared in a few panels, but then, wierdly, my deviantART watchers started asking when they would see her next.  I never even intended for her to appear outside the story and couldn't understand the interest, however my good friend Monsieurpaul explained something like: "Not every character has to be an action babe - people like a good old damsel in distress."

Lianne was much younger than Penelope and clearly out of her depth but her main, endearing, character attribute was admiring Penelope and being fiercely loyal to her.  Curia went on to write several stories featuring Penelope and Lianne, and I must admit I started to see the appeal.

The Daz 3/Victoria 4 version of Lianne went on to appear in a Star Trek story where she was shot with a phaser https://www.deviantart.com/torqual3d/art/Star-Trek-TOS-Girls-in-Peril-4-313633611 and she was feared lost, however she reappeared safe and well in fashion week 2014 https://www.deviantart.com/torqual3d/art/TFW4-Lianne-wears-SHERWOOD-Winter-Outfit-437358546.

I am delighted to bring her back after an absence of 9 years, and I hope you like the Genesis 8 reimagining of Lianne.  I have tried to retain her essence of naivety and her recognisable features: those big eyes, the full lips, pinched nose and the short neat hair.  This outfit is based on the last thing we saw her wearing, in 2014.  I have spent three days solid working on her, since Curia gave me the idea.  Possibly she was in the back of my mind anyway since I worked on the Star Trek stuff these last weeks.

We now have the whole triumvirate of the Working Late story recreated in Daz 4: Penelope, Lianne and Redback.  I am already trying out combinations, and pretty much any two of the three coming together is producing very pleasing results.  I've been checking out some office sets for a possible Working Late Redux, although I can tell you now it's not going to be 44 frames...

Hope you like the return of this long lost young lady, and please let me know any ideas or requests you may have for her!
