Dear patrons, it's with the greatest of pleasure that I can finally say that I now consider Genesis 8 Amanda to be ready.

It's not an overestimation to say that I have spent around 30 hours since New Years' Day working on her.  I've been installing morph packs and tweaking her face, hair and eyes relentlessly, rendering her from all different angles and in different lighting.  Every time I've seen something that doesn't look right, I've worked hard to iron it out.

The observant of you may notice a big change from the last picture I posted, and that is her eyes. In the end, no matter how much I played around with the eye textures that came with the base model, I felt that something just was a little off.  So, the idea came upon me to do an eye transplant from her Victoria 4 self.  This required painstaking work to copy, reshape and paste the exact same textures (technically speaking this means the irises, pupils and scleras) from V4 Amanda onto the Genesis 8.  After remaking the textures I had to recolour and reshape her eyes with both models alongside until I achieved close to a 100% match.  I LOVE her eyes now.  They say that the eyes are a window to the soul.  Well, Amanda's soul is now very much in this Genesis body.

I hope you like her but - once again - I ask you to not judge too harshly or finally based on one picture from one angle.  You'll be seeing a lot more of her and hopefully you will come to recognise this third incarnation (or second regeneration) as very much the same person.

The next step now is (finally!) to start putting some outfits together and to create some modelling poses.  I don't have a huge amount of posing experience with Gen8 in Daz4 but clearly I need to do a lot now until I master it.  And I will.  Those of you who like to buy my pose packs (and to date they have been sold to 93 different people) may be happy to know that I will almost certainly be making packs of Genesis 8 poses for sale.  As always there will be a heavy discount for patrons.

I realise this post may come across as rather self-congratulatory and promise quite a lot but I really hope now that I can move forward in a massive way and make some interesting stories with great characters and locations.  All you have to do now is stay around for it.  The thing holding me back is always going to be the same as always, the continuing problems I have with my eyes.  I just hope that I can keep that at bay because honestly I haven't felt this inspired since ten years ago when I started with Daz 3.  It's no lie that I really started to flag and lose motivation with Daz 3.  I really LOVED Amanda version 2 but there were no new clothing models for Victoria 4 and honestly it was just too much ballache to construct and light complex scenes realistically.  I am so sorry that I never finished Night Investigation and left that on a cliffhanger.  One day I may write it as a story or even a CYOA.

Thanks as always for your support and please feel free to say whatever you like about Amanda III. Soon I hope we can stop calling her Genesis Amanda and just start calling her Amanda, in the same way I had to force myself to drop the 'New' from New Amanda, which I was still saying two years after relaunching her!

She's an inspired (and inspiring) creation, and yes, those eyes are amazing.
