I am not going to go into detail but I have had a LOT of varied crap going on in my personal life which (artistically) sent me completely off the rails.  It's difficult to explain the reasons.  When you've got stuff going on that's causing anxiety or exhaustion, you just can't make good or interesting art, and if you try to force it, it feels like a job.

Also, something's happened to me recently that made me really start to question and dislike my own artwork. Luckily, I am middle-aged now and have been through all of this before.  I know it will stop.  This isn't by means of having a whine BTW, there's 158 of you paying and you deserve some explanation and honesty.

Anyhow, just by chance, I got the urge to play around tonight and so I opened up my new girl. I was going to release all her stuff at the start of August - until the thing I won't talk about happened, then my heart just went out of it.  But then I saw her today and thought, fucking hell(!!!!!) she's beautiful.  This is only about the second or third render I did before I thought - STOP THERE, upload this.

So this is fresh out of the computer.

Look, I don't know whether people even need another character.  I am pretty unsure about everything at the moment.  I already made two girls with blonde bob cuts (Rachel and Gwen) and I am relieved that no one accused them of being similar...yet...

I just like girls with blonde bob cuts.  It started with Mary Stuart Masterton in Some Kind of Wonderful.  You millennials, you're going to have to Google that.  You can probably watch it for free on the Netflix Prime Stick Interweb, and while you're at it you can laugh when you hear the name of one of the main female characters.  Then go and watch all the other John Hughes classics like The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off and learn about the 1980s.

So - this girl above is from the 1980s.  At least that's how I am going to style her.  She's not actually my character.  She's a professional pop singer who makes her living performing in dingy clubs.  She's also, somewhat accidentally, a super heroine.  A not-very-well-known one.
She appears in Marvel Comics, cartoons, and (most importantly for me) a video game.  This said, she had pretty poor treatment by Marvel (including some total inconsistency in her appearance).  This just makes me love her more and want to make her mine.  So, her name is Alison Blaire.  If you're interested, you can do your research in between now and when I make another post with her.

At the moment, I am just going to take things slowly with her.  I am having a lot of fun making 80s outfits for her.  I am taking my inspiration (as above) from Mary Stuart Masterton and - of course - Madonna. I also found this webpage https://www.simplyeighties.com/80s-fashion.php#.W8bDr3tKiHt which is giving me LOADS of ideas. The outfit she has above isn't really finished yet, it's just the SORT of thing she might wear. Am going to mess around with some retro and tomboy themes. If any of the pictures are nice, I will upload them.

Of course, I made her super heroine outfit first. I have around a hundred pics already of her in that.

Yes, before you ask, obviously she's going to get into a lot of trouble.

I am going to stop rambling now.  I do apologise to those of you who are non-English speakers and/or just here for the pictures.

Awesome work, and hey if it works for the lady, a bob cut can be very sexy. I love Gwen's look and Alison definitely looks great with it as well. If she's a musician from the 80s, hope she dons a classic leotard/tights look at some point. Looking forward to more pics with her :)
