August Update (Patreon)

Hi all, I want to give a little update on things (I'm still here yes)

This hot summer month went by fast and I'm once again behind schedule,
I apologize for that!

Besides irl stuff and attending a course, I have been working on a couple of technical things this month.

First is the main thing i spend a lot of time on: Porting a new Miku to R18!

She is basically ready to be used in a video now, but it took a bit of work to make everything work.

Her body was not r18, so i merged a new body - had to take her piece by piece and adjust / fit each clothing part and weight it to the new body, so the process was longer than expected - but I think worth it, because this model i think is pretty cool! ^-^

Here is a couple of shots:

She has some more clothing too, and in time i might upgrade her further with a few extra details, but she is ready for some action now ^-^ 

Hand Tracking

Besides Miku, I was also working on hand tracking side-project using leap motion and writing a little software tool to convert the data from a program called BrekelHands into vmd format so it can be imported into MMD.

I was inspired by work that UwUnCh was doing (he is using an ai based webcam tracker) and we been exchanging notes, developing the 2 projects and getting into details on how vmd files are created.

The project is not quite complete yet, but the gritty stuff is done, now there is a challenge of orienting the bones in a manner that matches the (tricky) setup MMD uses.

Will this be a useful asset in production? I don't know yet, but it could be used to (literally) hand-animate things in interesting ways, and possibly useful for the community or VTuber things.

next will be a video with new Miku, then a video I have half complete (Bismarck), and beyond that there is a few in progress (no ray setup yet)

I hope to get more videos out there for you guys soon! 

I sometimes work on things a bit out of order and it can cause delays, because i'm not that well organized with time xD  (and really bad at putting out updates xD)
