Haec actually got the Hero class at level 100

Alexey Gladkich

Shouldn't that [Ancient Centinel] be considered the first corrupted creature she met?

Anonymous

Holy shit, is that a corrupted corpse of a primordial demon? That’s fucking terrifying; not even death will prevent you from contracting pixel-rabies. And maybe I would even hazard a guess that it’s the second layer’s Protector too. F for the poor lad.

The ancient centinel might be a halfway thing really; it mastered the corruption for its own use as its Grand Skill, so I assume that form was temporary. The example you really should use is the wyvern that failed to do the same as the centinel. Edit: author clarified on Discord that the ancient centinel doesn’t count but forgot about the wyvern.

Kennyevilmonkey

Salvos already saw a corrupted creature. The Frost Wyvern that led a pack to lay waist to a city.

Alexey Gladkich

The Wyvern wasn't fully corrupted yet. So I wouldn't quite count her either. If [Ancient Centinel]'s Grand Skill lifts off the corruption as it ends, then it rightfully shouldn't be counted either. But Salvos' POV is not the same as objective truth.

Alexey Gladkich

Well, he does that so he can leave on his own sewrching for Salvos. Seems Heroic but his actual motives are more dubious.

What's the max level in the story?, or is salvos gonna be a level 500 or higher

Isley

good chappie

Cha0sniper

I'm guessing at that point, your power stops being measured by level lol

John Pratt

250 is mentioned by the Devil as a milestone that he, Reggie and the Spirit Lord all exceed. I'm guessing it's the level where you get divinity naturally, but no level cap has ever been stated.

Alexey Gladkich

No, 200 is the level when they ascended. 250 is max lvl. It was stated in the discord.

Didn't the hero Melissa ascend after level 200 though? So is it something that only happens for Demons and Spirits?

Unironically though, I do actually really like how much of an impact that first rock had on Salvos. I absolutely loved the beginning of the story, with the combination of Salvos's genuine curiosity and all of the self determinism philosophy she went through. It's one of the best cases of character inner psychology that I've read, period.

I only discovered this story and MelasDelta in January this year (so close to 2 months ago now), and I wish I had found this series and author much early so that I would've been able to support MelasDelta from earlier on too. On thing is certain, I don't see my patreon support of MelasDelta stopping.

JuiceBox, you misunderstand. 1) Level 200 is the level where you would ascend IF you meet the conditions for it. 2) Level 200 essentially unlocks the ability to ascend normally. If you only meet the conditions after level 200, then you will ascend at that point. 3) The ascension at/around level 200 is normally the one to becoming a Lesser Deity. It is thus logical to assume level 250 to be the one for non-lesser deity, or whatever the name for it will be. For examples: 1) Alexander ascended at level 195 to become a Lesser God. This can be assumed to have happened similarly to the usual 5 levels early ranking up advancement. From this perspective, then his ascension was still linked to the normal level 200 rank up. 2) Melissa ascended at level 203 to become a Lesser God. So there are two possibilities here. She either got the ascension from meeting the requirements for it after her level 200 class advancement, or she waited until she met the requirements before doing that class advancement, and she simply happened to be level 203 once she did it.

Something else of note: Sal once stated when talking to himself in relation to Salvos that Salvos achieving Apotheosis to Lesser God at level 150 means that she has the potential to surpass him. This implies a few things: 1) That the Level Cap here might only be a thing for the World of Nexeus. My point is that other worlds likely have either similar and/or different systems for stuff like that. 2) Whatever the next Divine rank may be called, it is likely normally unlocked at level 250. 3) With the Level Cap being 250 and Sal being there, maybe he hasn't been able to grow beyond that Divine rank. 4) If Sal believes that Salvos ascending at Level 150 means she can surpass him, maybe it means that she will get the next Divine rank at level 200 and then have access to a Divine rank beyond the one of Sal, Regnorex and the Fairy Queen when she'll reach level 250.

JuiceBox

Thanks for clearing that up for me. That makes so much more sense now.

I really liked the introspection at the beginning. Though the corpse is absolutely terrifying, hydra. Haec found his opportunity much earlier than I thought, pretty excited.
