There's this issue I always suffer from whenever I travel and write. I have different chairs, different desks, different keyboard placements, and etcetera which always leads to me injuring my fingers. I wish I could explain it eloquently, but it has to do with the angling of the wrist and the way it affects my finger placement on the keyboard.

The issue is exacerbated because I write a lot. Like, even in "off weeks" like this week, I wrote four chapters-- 1 Tian and 3 Salvos. I haven't posted the Tian chapter yet, I'll do it later. But four chapters is literally what some of the highest output authors on RoyalRoad publish in a week, and I'm doing it while moving countries and... writing a webcomic script! I wrote two webcomic episodes this week too!

Anyway, I've injured my fingers/wrists three times now. The first time was last September or October when... surprise surprise, I visited my brother for his birthday and wrote on a different work station. I only injured my wrists, then. Again, in February, when I went to a cousin's wedding and tried writing with only my laptop keyboard. I injured both my wrists and my fingers, then. Now, I injured my fingers and only my fingers while moving countries because I've learned to wear wrist braces every single time I write. But that won't save my finger when it's forced to type in awkward angles I am not used to typing in. Specifically, the index finger and middle finger of my right hand.

Now, it is incomparable to that fucking hell of pain I suffered through February, but part of the reason why February was so bad was because I just pushed on and continued writing regardless of the pain, which made it last for over a month and a half. I'm not going to do that again, so no chapter on either Monday or Tuesday. I am almost certain this issue will go away by then, and if it doesn't, I'll just write on my phone, although the quality may drop.

Sorry that the last two months have been super inconsistent, but from my Grandma's death to leaving the US to my mum's birthday to moving to the EU... things have been quite fucked for me, and I don't know if it'll calm down any time soon.

Here's a panel from the webcomic to make up for it:

I think it is time to admit that you have a writing problem :p

As I have been ephasising in some of my previous comment's, take care of yourself, don't wory about writing chapters, take a break, and when you are ready return to writing.

Hope you'll feel better and take care! P.S. Originally I thought that the quality of WebComic was supposed to be different from "child's scribbling". I know One Punch Man had that kind of art in the beginning.

It’s the storyboard… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storyboard

Comic creation undergoes five different steps. Scripting, storyboarding, inking, coloring, and polishing/adding effects. Some comics skip a step or two, but that’s the general routine of how it works.

Hope you get better, rest as long as you need.

Sorry to hear you hurt your fingers Melas, here's hoping you have a good proper rest so you can recover well. No worries about production slowing, that's to be expected given all the big things happening for you currently and its all good.

If it's an inflamation-related pain, cream like this should help as it reduces inflammation and promotes healing: https://www.bluespringwellness.com/collections/super-blue-stuff I use it for swelling and sore muscles for faster recovery. Also when traveling you might want to consider using dragon naturally speaking for voice recording instead of typing. It's likely to be slower but it gives you an option for continuing to work even when you can't type.
