Take your time. I'm impressed you've been able to keep putting out such high quality chapters at this rate as things are. Most people would probably take at least a few weeks off, and you're pumping out climactic fight scenes.

The hardest part is honestly scripting the webcomic. Because uh I’m having the same issue with scripting the webcomic as I do with writing chapters in that sometimes what I want to cover in a single chapter is covered in multiple chapters. Except, for a webcomic, that ends up increasing my budget spent…

@MelasDelta I thought that WebComic expense is limited by how much artist can paint per month. So more scriptwriting means more money total but also more time total to do it - roughly the same monthly expense. Or perhaps you can come to agreement about the monthly expense.

The webcomic expense is limited by how many episodes will be in season 1. I outlined for 25, but now there’s going to be 30, and who knows if that’ll change in the future.

Perhaps I don't understand the Webcomic release format. I'd normally assume that you plan to release a fixed number of episodes per month. Or is it more like anime where each season prepared for a while and then it is released fully in a short timeframe?

I’m not sure what there isn’t to understand. I pay per episode. More episodes = more costs.

Usually people are worried about how much they need to pay per month - not total cost. That's not all encompasing but it is true for almost all services. Say, you release 4 episodes a month and pay monthly. With 30 episodes in season 1, you finish the season in ~8 month. With 25 episodes in season 1, it is finished in 6 month, but then season 2 starts immediately and your expense is the same for the following months too. So at what point do you see any financial difference?

That makes sense. Companies usually just abandon the project at any moment if monthly sales don't reach necessary quotas. What I wanted to say, just think how to make it most interesting and entertaining. That's the best way to guarantee success of the webcomic. Both fleshing out details too much and dragging it on as well as rushing the plot can totally ruin the entertainment factor.

Interesting note that Gula is aware that there were only 3 Alexander's artifacts in Alyras - that there was no Breastplate of Alexander. This information was released only to a small group of people.
