I have some trouble with this to be honest :-( I mean this guy Murdered his Wife to summon a Demon and people are still just listening to him like he didn't just get outed as a total psychopath? Saffrons Speech was amazing though!

From what I could tell, he was claiming that it was all due to the Merrysters trying to frame him. I.e. they murdered his wife in order to set him up.

People are often willing to overlook atrocious acts as long as the person behind them champions their cause. I'll avoid any political examples, modern or historical, but people are very prone to acting unreasonably when it comes to controversial topics.

When Salvos brought Mathew to the academy he was delivering a bottle of demon blood to Saffron. And Saffron indicates that's not her first time drinking it. We can assume that demon blood is relatively simple to procure.

There is a big difference between high level demon blood and low level demon blood. Low level demon blood should be fairly simple to aquire with how many cultists are everywhere. High level demon blood isn't as easy but they did just kill an archdemon.

And do Vampires have the ability to differenciate by sight the origins of the blood? I don't recall any explanation around that, so it's more likely that Saffron did everything without getting any suspicions from the vampires gathered here who were already preoccupied with the treason unfolding before their eyes.

The improvements in your writing are really visible through salvos!! Looking at the world from all the characters perspectives makes it feel alive. Getting so many chapters for something like this, expanding on a side character. I love it. Thank you for the in redible story so far!
