Oof, leaving us on a two day cliff hanger like that? Just leave the country via underground routes next time you need to go somewhere and write the chapter now! Jokes aside, great chapter :) political kinds of conversations are always an annoyance to go through I'd say, so it was written well enough here. Maybe Faith was interrupted a little too often, but that also shows the skepticism of everyone there.

I think it makes sense for each new person not aware the emperor is there to be shocked to learn he is. I mean if it's unexpected, people should react to it maybe?
