Early post because I want to burrow into work. Starting with continued memes, this time a little comic. ^-^

TLS 0.68.2 is finally out. Lots of people playing it according to Steam analytics, but everything's quiet on my end. Work on 0.69.x content continues, and I realize that there are probably going to be jokes about it being the 69th update. This will be a big one, and I haven't fully decided how to execute some aspects, so I cannot predict how long it will take to finish.

Meanwhile, everyone should click this interview with me to give the site metrics:

https://www.theggreview.blog/post/sierra-lee-s-reflections-on-her-beginnings-the-industry-and-a-last-sovereign-surprise

I'm bad with promotion, and think it's probably futile, but I do what I can when I have the opportunity. Will this matter? Probably not. But it's a small site that might notice a bump, so go give them views and click that random little heart thing so they're incentivized to pay attention to me in the future.

Podcasts don't fit into my schedule very well, but I listen to a few. Recently I have been listening to Publishing Rodeo, which is probably too niche for most people reading this unless you're really interested in the publishing industry. The reason that I bring it up is that it's been a sobering experience to learn how many apparently successful authors are relying on spouses or living the publishing equivalent of paycheck-to-paycheck.

I generally feel like I'm a small and basically insignificant fish in all the fields I participate in. It's important to remind myself how extraordinarily fortunate I am to be making a comfortable living in fields where that is far from the norm. I seek to prepare and diversify to ward against future problems (platforms and publishers are not your friend), but this is out of an excess of caution, not trying to make ends meet.

If you're with me so far, please look forward to having me around for a long time to come. ^-^

An interesting read, I think you dominated the interview compared to the other 2, I hadn't even paid attention to who made Wild Life or Eternum, but I have played the free version of Eternum, and enjoyed it enough that I'm going to buy it on Steam eventually, still not sure about Wild Life, but probably not.

I’m not sure a Succway is such a good idea. I feel like a lot of Succubi are going to instinctively try to deep throat entire $5-foot longs, and end up choking.

Argo The Ratfolk

A concern to be sure, but when you take into account sex magic - not to mention literally years of experience doing that sort of thing I think they'd be fine! Or who knows (aside from Sierra I guess) maybe succubi have developed an instinct equivalent of whiskers or something in terms of spacial awareness, to let them know exactly what is too big to take?

I'm glad someone, even if it's a small outlet, is covering the slow normalization and acceptance of games with sex in them, it's a pretty under-reported on topic. The difference between "games with sex in them" and "games about sex" is also something I've been considering a lot lately. TLS's story would obviously be a lot different, and in a direct sense weaker if you simply stripped out sexual content without adjusting in its wake, but it's definitely not the main reason I'd tell someone to try it. Whereas my impression of Wild Life (which I haven't played so this could be totally off) is that without sexual content it's barely a game.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but there is a guy in YT with a playlist of 82 videos dedicated to TLS: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ3-j0EbLMBFvtyJVCJ0Q13m2mpyKBDyY

This was probably already mentioned, but I do hope that after “the end” there’s a sort of free roam to talk to everyone and revisit scenes. If that does happen, I would definitely keep a save to revisit. If not, then it’ll probably be fine. Also, please don’t feel pressured to rush the game, even with plans to polish after completion. Take the time to give a satisfying ending.

Have you seen the roadmap that has been posted from time to time? The "Postgame" section will let the player roam the entire world and see the results of their decisions.
