March 6 Update (Patreon)

Patron genericname12345 continues to bring us decidedly non-generic fanart! I'm especially fond of the personality of the first one. ^-^

The next TLS update should be this coming Friday. Barring something really unusual, anyway, or the testing phase revealing huge gaps.

I think people will like this one. It has more plot than customary for an open world update, and lots of character content. One thing some were vocal about is wanting more harem quests, and there's only going to be one this time. Also one of the weirder quests... maybe this isn't ideal, but it's the quest I have done. Mechanically it's another running around quest, nothing fancy, but story-wise I think it's very likely to be something you've never done in an RPG before. For better or for worse.

I feel that getting this update out and getting over the hump of the open world intro is more important in the long term than packing this update with content. There will be other open world updates with all kinds of things, after all.

In other news, Valve has finally approved everything about the store page, assets, and other pieces. I've submitted a build for them to check, but there's no way of knowing whether it will pass silently or if they'll jerk me around for a month again. After that, the last hoop is getting them to approve my new release date. But in theory we're getting closer to the point where OEA could be released when it's actually ready instead of based on external factors.
