Headline up front: I'm getting on a good roll and I hope that version 0.19.0 of TLS will be out next weekend. Barring any huge new problems, that feels pretty possible!

The only thing marring my good mood is that I'm in the self doubt section of the creative cycle. A lot of the work in this version is under the surface, setting up the new version of Ari-Yhilina. It won't be the flashiest update, so I'll have to hope that people appreciate the continued social consequences in areas you know instead of exploring new territory.


There's a lot of dialogue in this one, though. Lots of people to meet and things to do. After the more intense previous update, I wanted this one to let you see and feel the consequences of the battle that were just reported before. I'd like to give players some time in the city so that you're connected enough for your actions to have weight, and I think what I've done pulls that off fairly well. ^-^

that is great to hear an cant wait to continue on with the story. Really do hope that all goes well and looking forward to seeing how choices effect what happens in Ari-Yhillina

Hidden consequences are one of the reasons I love TLS, should be an interesting update.

*gives out manly squee* I personally love the fact that this update really focuses on the consequences of all applicable choices. Really gives the player the feeling that their decisions matter and affect gameplay. Flash is very much a lesser priority to story and plot in my opinion so I think you made the right focus. Dialogue is awesome, lots of moments between characters new and old is always welcome.

Glad you're having a good week! The dialogue and interactions with other character is BY FAR my favorite part of TLS, sooooooo I don't think this next update will disappoint in the least. Can't wait to see Ari-Yhilina post takeover! *starts bouncing excitedly like a little kid* ... AHEM ... No one saw that.

Haha, if you made it through the battle with good numbers, the consequences aren't so dire. You guys are all such optimizers I worry not many people will see the fun consequences I've set up. ^-^

So Sierra, I'm guessing the research effected the outcome of the battle in more ways then one? In one run through I researched hiding my nature and was able to use Simon in the optional boss in the unforge, and Aka was able to kill that mage pilot. In the other game I got Robin closer to the mage academy, and Aka was not able to kill the pilot. Is that a result of the research?
