While Noah was truly interested in choosing the Materials, he knew that the Queen was right in this instance and that he had to take the Blueprints.

As they said. Rather than giving someone a fish, teaching them how to fish was the better way.

Perhaps finding someone who could help him create a new mecha would be hard but well. Worst case, he could search for some criminal engineer who had the death penalty or something and devour them to obtain their knowledge.

The scientist he devoured earlier had been very useful in getting more understanding of the world after all. Though he had still yet to decipher her memories completely.

“Do you think you can obtain memories from Omid?”

—I cannot answer yet. I have never eaten dust. There are fragments of memories here and there but nothing much else I can find. Now, stop trying to divert the topic and choose.

“Very well.” Taking a deep breath Noah clicked on the Yes. Following this, a small tablet appeared in front of him. Once it lit up, Noah scrolled down and observed the blueprints.

He had never been much of a mechanical wizard but he still knew the bar minimums necessary to do some urgent maintenance on Ouroboros in case he had problems.

This was why he immediately noticed that this design was nearly the same as that of Ouroboros. Albeit with many little changes.

Noah scrolled and looked at the different blueprints for the pieces of the mecha and how they would assemble. One thing he noticed was that this mecha seemed able to change dimension based on energy absorbed. It needed a special kind of metal for this and Noah didn’t know if he could find it. But just the possibilities were endless.

There were also new designs, special wings seemingly made out of light, attached to the back. They looked like they would make movements in space and under gravity so much easier.

This made him salivate just thinking about it. This was a complete and total upgrade of his Ouroboros. There were even lesser models of the final version, as if someone anticipated that getting the final version from the start would be impossible and he could start with building a lesser and weaker but still more streamlined and powerful version of Ouroboros.

This was,

“Damn…” Noah was speechless. Something was very rare for someone like him but seemed oh so common since he entered this place.

—As I thought.

“You anticipated this?”

—I am sure you have the same suspicions as me and now with this those suspicions are facts that cannot be denied. We have long since gone past the level of hint ever since the very first challenge. You simply refused to accept the reality.

“...” Noah had nothing to say. The initial part with Noah’s difficulty, the exploration of Mars, the reward with Ouroboros Core, and now this.

Obviously. somehow, Earth had become a Type 4 civilization and changed its name to Gaia Empire during the time he was in the alternate dimension. Then by some ways, they must have realized that he was still alive or they did all this in his homage. Finally, the empire was destroyed. An even more unknown number of years passed and he finally walked out of that dimension before getting stranded on the planet.

This made sense of course. Everything made sense. But…This would also mean that he had no more home to return to.

“Heh…”

Noah gave a self-depreciated laugh. The thought of going back to earth had been what helped sustain his progressively broken mind during this long period and now he was slapped with more and more evidence that this would never come to be.

Hell. Even if he did manage to find earth. It would not be HIS earth. It was…

—...

“It’s quite funny how the planet on which I was stranded is the one holding all the answers I need.”

Noah started walking. Noah was one who could accept the existence of luck and coincidence.

But there was a limit to what could be a coincidence. The Milky Way galaxy had around 100 billion planets at minimum. Meanwhile, the entire universe held around 2 trillion galaxies at minimum.

The probability of him finding himself on this planet with all those secrets was so infinitely small that it might as well be zero and yet, here he was.

“There are still many things I need to learn.”

Why was he still worshiped or recognized as a hero even after the empire reached the level they had?

How did they reach this level in the first place?

Finally…What destroyed them? Was it themselves or some unknown enemies?

Noah wanted to. No. He needed to know the truth and this was why,

[You who have passed all challenges, it’s time for you to receive congratulations. Going forward, there will be no challenges. Only an inspection and a reminder of what it means to be part of the Empire. Do you wish to continue?]

[Y/N]

Noah did not hesitate this time. There was nothing more to ponder. It was finally time for him to learn the truth.

At least this was what he hoped.

But when he was finally transported to a new place and observed that thing in front of him.

Noah realized…He had underestimated this whole thing.

What he was observing now was nothing more than an abomination.
