Even as he plummeted toward the ground, helplessly being swayed by the wind, Noah cursed inwardly.

He hated falling from great heights. Experience had taught him a painful lesson as he discovered that fighting against gravity was never a battle that should be fought without the right equipment.

The pain of feelings all the brain in his body breaks as they poke through his organs that were already partially turned to mush alongside his cranium and his poor brain. The worst part was the healing. Because of all the internal movements, his organs would tear and heal again and again until all the bones in his body regenerated. Meanwhile, he had to open himself and bleed to let the ones that did not regenerate.

It was excruciating even for him. This was a very painful experience and not something he wanted to revive as long as he had any choice in the matter.

Well… He didn’t have much of a choice now, did he?

‘Can you create some kind of wings, a jet pack, or anything that can slow down my fall?

—Negative. Either way, with Terminal velocity approaching, you will only fall at a speed of approximately 688 kilometers. You will not die.

‘I know I won’t die. Doesn’t mean it makes me feel good.’

The fall should last approximately 20 seconds; he had a different way of doing things, but this was also a good occasion to test how far his regenerative ability increased and how much punishment this so-called armor of his could take.

—You are indeed very optimistic. If you had devoured the core of the ship, things would be different.

‘I have a conscience, you know? I don’t think eating the motor of a ship would let it end well. Morgiana is still there.’

—Because you let her there.

‘Did this for her good, you know? Otherwise, it would be too dangerous.’

Noah was not emotionless, and he certainly did not treat righteous people badly. If the situation had not been so hurried and if he trusted Morgiana, he might have proceeded with another plan, but sadly things were not meant to be. She was too weak and he could not trust his back to her.

He sighed, she ground, and continued to approach fast. He was only a few seconds short, and he did not plan on doing much even though he could have perhaps created a construct to help slow down himself.

Boom!!!

The loud sound of an explosion shook the ground as a crater-like hole was formed as a result of his weight and how heavy everything could be.

Getting up from the ground, Noah coughed again and again; he could feel his whole body rattling, and his muscles going numb, there was even a faint feeling of sweetness in his throat as if his blood had come out a little.

Even so,

“Ohhh. I didn’t die? Didn’t even bleed?”

—-What did I say?

He was starting to love this armor more and more. Ideas were coming to him as he imagined exactly how far he could go with this concept.

Certainly, his childhood had not been the happiest; there was one movie in particular that intrigued him when it came to the armor he was wearing.

—This is currently impossible for me. But I might be able to do so when we devour more knowledge and more core pieces.

“Well, we are about to reach a self-serve buffet soon.”

He looked around and estimated his distance from the gate. Thankfully, even though he fell from quite high, the deviation was not particularly big.

All he had to do now was run. . . .

The run was uneventful. He thought he would have met some abyss beasts or whatever they were called on the way, but surprisingly, there were no such things.

It was as if all of them vanished or decided to hide themselves in their nests to avoid any kind of problem.

The things they were fleeing from were the gate.

“Birds die for food and humans die for wealth.”

Noah muttered as he finally reached the extremely large star gate floating in the air quietly. The full majesty of the thing could not be conveyed from a screen, and as he stood in front of it now, Noah couldn’t help but wonder just what kind of guts Omid had to dare enter this place.

Even so, he did not insult the man. Greed was something no one could they were truly above off and Noah was no saint. Perhaps if he was in Omid’s place, he would also risk his life.

—Noah…

“I know. This is very dangerous.”

Noah was much more decisive than Omid. He did not hesitate in the slightest and did not have his vision clouded by greed.

This place was dangerous.

Even someone as prideful and confident in himself as he could freely admit this without an ounce of shame or tittering.

‘Honestly. I don’t even want to enter.’

The existence of the stargate was of no matter to him. All he had to do was wait here, kill Omid, and then register the planet. The existence of the gate would make the planet worth even more.

If Omid did not come out then, while this would be disappointing, it wasn’t particularly problematic. Omid was far from being the only space pirate. He could slowly hunt down the others and get what he needed.

‘Sadly, this isn’t it.’

He sighed and focused on the symbols that were on the border of the gate.

𒅆𒍝𒆠𒆤𒆠𒊏 𒋼𒊏𒆤 𒄿𒈾𒈾𒄿𒄿𒈝𒂗𒁇𒄿 𒆜𒀀𒄿𒈾𒀀𒄿𒄿𒊑𒄿𒋆𒋆𒆕

Now that he was closer and could see for himself, this was unmistakable Sumerian, a dead language from Earth.

‘In a moment like this, I wish I had some sort of perfect memories.’

He sighed but did not dwell on it. A perfect memory might have pushed him to suicide much more often if he had possessed it, so there was no reason to complain. But even so, it was frustrating for a language he knew once in the past to now only be nothing but a faint memory.

Thankfully, all hopes were not lost. While he could not completely read the whole sentences, some words were easy to recognize such as ‘Stars,’ ‘Observe,’ and ‘Destiny.’

‘How mysterious.’

His curiosity was piqued. This was something he had to see for himself. He had to understand what was happening and why.

How was this even possible?

A faint possibility pulsed in the back of his mind, but he rejected it.

He couldn't have lived alone on this planet that long. No matter how his perspective of time was affected or not.

—What if we stayed much longer than we thought in that place?

“That place?”

He mused. He did not know.

Noah sighed. There were so many things he did not know about and this was starting to become irritating.

He did not know what that place was nor where it was exactly. Only that he had a faint connection to it and that he needed to get something that belonged to him from there.

He was not a science expert, but he did know that he entered a wormhole or something similar when he fought against the Queen.

There were so many theories in his world about where and when a wormhole could lead you that it was mind-numbing.

But if Noah followed any of those theories then…

Either he was currently much further in the future than he would have anticipated, or he was not even in his home dimension in the first place.

Both possibilities were equally terrifying for him.

“Only one way to find out.”

He started walking toward the gate. His mind made, and there was no more wavering.

Sometimes ignorance was bliss, and knowledge was a curse.

But Noah would rather live a cursed life filled with wisdom than a blissfully ignorant life. Only by knowing could one grasp their destiny in their hands and go even beyond it to reach heaven.

—You might die.

‘Heh. I will not.’

He snickered.

He knew very well that he may even die at this gate. Everything was possible when chasing after the unknown.

But he did not fear his eventual and very much possible demise. Perhaps… He even felt anticipation toward such eventuality.

But he would not surrender to death. Not now when the light of hope was finally shining in front of him.

“I am quite the tenacious man, you know?”

Failure was not an option.

Death was not even considered.

He would win.

He would succeed.

Because he was Noah. Because he was the Strongest.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Like this, Noah continued to self-hypnotize himself as he stepped into the gate. His thoughts were light, but his steps were heavy. This would undoubtedly be the first step toward him seizing back control of his destiny.
