As Noah stepped into the medical room, his flesh and bones cracked as they started to adjust themselves, while he nonchalantly arranged his fingers to avoid a bad healing. But even so, he could feel that his healing was already much swifter than in the past.

‘I guess you weren’t all talk.’

—-What did you think? Well, not that it matters. What do you plan to do now?

‘Kill her obviously.’

—-What about the other girl?

‘Save her obviously.’

Failure was not in his dictionary. But this did not mean that he could simply rush head first like a bull.

The one who was in charge of such a thing in his team was already dead long ago.

In the current situation, it was nearly impossible to save Morgiana without endangering himself. He knew that they could send mental commands and he did not know if he was fast enough to reach his target before she did something.

Up to now, nothing they used could deal with him but Noah was not keen on testing further. He was not stupid enough to think that he was immortal and unkillable.

There was no such thing as indestructible in this universe.

Either way, Noah in the past had always tried to save everyone but reality soon slapped him in the face in the most vicious way possible.

He soon understood that it was impossible for someone to save everyone. Some things were simply impossible and sometimes it was necessary to move in the most logical way.

‘Heh. I leave all this to Minerva.’

Noah was smart enough to understand the situation but he refused to do something as pitiful as bowing his head under the weight of reality.

—You have not changed.

This was the same man who jumped in with only three more mecha and led the last stand of humanity against parasites;

‘I don’t know about that.’

He chuckled and gazed at the cyclops woman. Keeping a clear nonchalance on his expressionless face.

People tended to judge others based on what they would have done themselves and the little information they had.

For Phaeia, Noah was a cold-blooded monster who could kill without batting an eye. Furthermore, from her perspective, there was no way she would actually do something as stupid as sacrificing herself to save someone.

Because of this, she would not doubt his words and deduce that he was indeed uninterested in protecting Morgiana.

It was important for him to make her keep such a mentality. Only by doing so would she move as he wished.

Like this, he continued walking.

Slowly.

Menacingly.

Without sparing a look at Morgiana, nor even Phaeia, simply looking around as if he was filled with curiosity.

“Whistle~All this is pretty incredible. How did you create all this? I am really curious.”

‘3.’

“I…”

‘2. Come on.’

“...”

‘O.’

“I can help you with that! You need information, right!? I am the scientist in charge of the whole crew, I even have information about our hideouts and know some of Omid's secret accounts. If we leave now, I can teach you everything I know and help you get an identity as a citizen.”

‘Bingo.’

Noah stopped purposely, his face showed hesitance as he mused. He could see that Phaiea was now grasping at straws as her tactics for hostages had not worked but he could not accept so easily or it would be suspicious, keeping his playful personality was also necessary.

But at the same time…The information she was proposing were truly mouth-watering. His plan was to rely on Morgiana and set foot in the wider universe before being sent back to Earth. But who knew if Morgiana would keep ill-feeling because of how he punched her?

Even though he definitely did not punch her just for fun. Furthermore, information was perhaps one of the greatest powers one could have. If he became dependent on one person for such a thing he could easily be controlled and manipulated no matter how smart he was.

At the end of the day, Noah did know nothing about the outside world. But he didn’t want to keep the pirate alive either. She was even more untrustworthy than Morgiana and might have led him into a trap.

‘Hey, I remember that you could obtain the memories of those you killed and devoured or used as wombs, right?’

This was one of the reasons why Parasites were such a pain to deal with in the past, be it skills or memories, everything about the identity of someone could be stolen.

—I do not know how sharing that information would affect you. You might lose your sense of self if you are not careful. I do not simply obtain memories, I obtain everything, even feelings. As a hive mind, such a thing is of no effect for us. But for a human, from what we tested this would break your mind.

‘For a human, huh? I guess soon we will find out whether I am still human or not.’

He grinned and focused on Phaeia,

“I am definitely interested in your proposal but. What tells me you won’t just backstab me? After all, I truly do not know much. You know what? If you want to survive, find a way for me to enslave you. Pretty simple, right?”

His eyes roamed her body in a lecherous manner, as if he was literally licking, causing Phaeia to shudder in disgust.

This was a sight she recognized. This was the way many men in the crew looked at her, thinking that she could not see them. It was obvious that for a barbarian such as Noah, dealing with the opposite sex would be done in an even more oppressive way.

She may not specialize in low-level civilization but she knew that in many such cases, the dominant gender would use and exploit the weaker ones treating them as prizes or slaves.

As ironic as it was…The way Noah looked at her and his obvious desire for her body were the things that actually made her lower her guard. After all, why would he kill her before satisfying his bestial lust?

This was further proved by his wish to enslave her. Noah had already proven that he was not stupid by any means. There was no way he would simply believe her words. It was normal to wish to have some insurance.

The thought that she might be defiled did not matter. She could survive, survival means a chance of reversal. In fact, males were most vulnerable during coitus. Surely a hole in his head would kill him for good, right?

Sigh~!

She slumped a little as she closed her eyes and sighed almost in reflex.

It was a sigh of relief. At the fact that she could survive

It was a sigh of bitterness. At the fact that she would have to give up on her pride

It was a sigh of helplessness. At the fact that she had no other choices.

…It was also her last sigh.

Whoosh~!

The sound of air being split and the warning of her armor were the only signs she received. But by the time she opened her eyes…It was already too late.

A long black arrow was already upon her and as she watched it, it pierced her eye, went through her brain, and came out of the other side of her cranium.

Standing far away from her was Noah with a nonchalant look on his face and a long spear going from his right side to the end of the arrowed point that pierced Phaeia.

“It would be quite pitiful if a man with a face like mine had to force themselves on women to get laid.”

Numerous spikes exploded from the part that was in Phaeia's head, completely blowing up her cranium and projecting blood and brain matter everywhere. In the end, her body slumped completely before falling helplessly.

Seeing her dead, Noah sighed, “I promised you a swift death and I am a man of my word you know.”

—Are you trying to act cool by talking to someone who is already dead?

Noah coughed slightly in order to hide his reddening face.

“Stop breaking my flow like this.”

He scratched his head as he looked at healing pods where Morgiana was being held. Now that he was paying attention, she was completely naked.

‘Hum…I still look better.’

Though the red mark on her body intrigued him, he knew now wasn’t the time. He approached the panel of control and this was where he realized something.

“Ah…I don’t know the language.”

He remembered his adventure in the shower and hesitated a bit.

‘Should I just push at random?’

—What if you push the button that is supposed to send poison?

‘Ah… This is indeed quite problematic.’

It would be quite ironic if he ended up killing Morgiana himself after going through all this.

His eyes went back to the headless body of Phaeia and his face paled as he started realizing something.

“Please…Tell me you can get the memories even with brain matters all over.”

—I guess you are not so perfect after all.

She sighed and Noah groaned.

It was on this note that the massacre on the ship finally ended.

(AN: Heh, who thought I would somehow find a way to keep Phaiea alive?)
