What was power?

The answer could be up to anyone.

For some people, it could be physical might.

For others, influence.

There were as many possible answers as there were people.

But right here, right now, as the hollows, Visored and Shinigami alike looked up at the sky, they all came to the same conclusion.

This…This was power.

—-

BANG!

*Crack* *Crack*

One clash was all it took and half of Las Noches was no more than rubble, the power of the shockwave was such that even a few Arrancars and hollows found themselves eradicated on the way.

“Haha, those two are really absurd.”

Yoruichi let out a laugh of disbelief, she could not even understand how those two could show such a great power.

At the same time, she was surprised at how powerful Aizen was. This wasn’t normal at all.

He was far stronger than they had estimated.

The Reiatsu of Aizen was so powerful and so condensed that it looked like a giant blast of energy that coiled around him.

Yoruichi wasn’t the only one to notice this.

Aizen was without a doubt far stronger than Gojo had initially expected. But he wasn’t particularly surprised.

From the start, he had never believed that Aizen would let himself be killed without struggling. Clearly, he had prepared something in his sleeve in order to deal with the situation.

<<Blut>>

Using the two forms of Blut for both offensive and defensive purposes, Gojo rushed straight in close to Aizen and delivered a punch powerful enough to reduce any normal shinigami to dust.

Even so, Aizen showed no fear on his face, Hakuda might not be his strongest point, but Aizen was not weak when it came to hand-to-hand combat.

BAM!

The two clashed, again and again without pause, both intent on subduing the other.

“Heh now that I think about it, where is your sword?”

Kyoka Suigetsu. A powerful weapon with a rather cheated skill.

Even Gojo had to admit that he was a little wary of that power. After all, while he had full confidence in his Rokugan, there was nothing backing that confidence except his own pride.

For all he knew, his eyes would have no way to discern the illusions and he would be trapped helplessly.

Aizen's answer was a high-ranked Hado to his face, but Gojo easily blocked it.

As of now, his control of Reishi was peerless to the point that he could basically create matter at once.

Even though Aizen was putting up a good fight, Gojo knew that it was only a question of time before he was overwhelmed.

“What does it feel like to struggle so much?”

Aizen’s eyes narrowed but stayed silent.

Kido after Kido. Fist after fist.

Light bloomed and the world screamed as two powerhouses displayed their unadulterated might, well intent in erasing their opponent.

But slowly, Aizen was losing ground.

No matter how strong he had managed to get in those twenty years, Aizen was no transcendent.

He could not obtain the power he wished for without using the perfect Hogyoku.

‘Sigh…Where did it all go wrong?’

Aizen after being pushed back a few steps after blocking a punch from Gojo.

Now that he thought about it, his plan should have been smooth sailing all along.

Ever since Aizen started those experiments in search of transcendence, he had never failed nor tasted suffering.

By using the bad gestion of the Seireitei in the lower districts, he had managed to kill and sacrifice Souls for centuries.

Ninety years ago, he used a large number of captain and managed to frame them for crimes they did not commits while he went totally unpunished and even went in grade.

He had managed to give hollow power to Shinigami and also the opposite.

He became the King of Hueco Mundo and had the Soul Society under his control.

Everything had been perfect.

Soon, he would have faked his death and fled from Soul Society in order to have more liberty or he would have to continue to use Shinigami as guinea pigs for the many tests he wished to accomplish.

This would have been perfect in so many ways.

Sadly, that dream was no more.

All of this was because of one man.

Satoru Gojou. An ex-member of the Gotei 13.

“My greatest mistake was not killing when I could.”

“Finally decided to speak?”

Gojo laughed and avoided a bolt of lightning with grace.

“You seem to enjoy yourself.”

“Heh, I mainly enjoy messing around with you. I wonder when I will see your facade broken.”

Aizen stayed stoic, knowing that any more world would be a waste of time.

Satoru Gojou was a like a stone thrown into his a peaceful lack and now created ripples all across.

Because of that man, his centuries-long plan was reduced to nothing.

He was even forced to leave Soul Society far sooner than he initially anticipated in circumstances that he had no control over.

Now, after all, Gojo was coming to destroy his hard work once again.

‘How infuriating.’

Aizen did not know what to say, as such he simply decided to break all stops.

“This will either kill him or not.”

Grinning at Sol, Aizen moved his hand,

“You have been looking at me in the eyes for quite some time now. Right? I guess it’s time to show you what I can really do.”

<<Kiyoka suigetsu: Mugen Hoka>> [1]

The world was bathed in light.

[1]: This power is somewhat canon; it was used by the mobile game. So I don’t know the real limit.
