It was interesting listening from a cis woman standpoint hearing people say toxic masculinity is just someone being an asshole. It is deeper than being an asshole. It’s someone trying to make you feel small or scared to boost their ego. Maybe if you’ve never experienced how it felt to be treated by a toxic masculine person, you don’t understand why they are not just being an asshole. All my opinion.

I really love hearing the perspective of the gay male community here, about this topic. I am also a cis woman and I wonder if the perspective is different from our side simple because of the gender differences. I like what was said about the leather being something of an armor and feel that would be a real factor in seeing less toxicity in the same perspective as women do. A man walking around covered in leather may seem far less easy to prey upon than a woman, or a person in general, in typical street clothing. Obviously this is just from my perspective. I enjoy the perspective from these videos so much!
