RIGHT!

Ignore the sheikah symbol in chest since I made some adjustments and it went wrong! XD

Well, this is the second piece I sewed so I could make the adjustments and get a better sense of how it fits on the body with a dark fabric and not a light one like in the wip 1 that I showed you!

I really liked the result, what you think?

I love the color!! Doesn't the symbol get a little lost between the folds?

LayzeMichelle

Thank you but this is not the original fabric that I will use for Impa! This fabric I used is a cheap fabric that I use to make patterns, funny that the color matched coinsidentally! 🤣 And about the symbol, it got folds because it was drawn directly on the fabric with a pen, but the initial idea is to glue the red fabric (which will be suede) with "transfer adhesive", which will make it hard without folds!😊💕

I understand very well. Look, here the symbol looks lower than the bust. https://www.pinterest.com.mx/pin/841328774134830842/

But sweet, this image you sent is not official! is a fanart from the artist "ebiebieshrimp". He drew what he imagines her clothes to be under the jacket. As well as I also draw my version in the previous post (wip 1) of how I imagine it to be underneath.

And I said to ignore the symbol, this was just an sketch, I will definitely center it better when the time comes to do it... 😰

Beautiful! How many mockups/test fabrics do you usually make when you create a cosplay? Do you pin it together or sew it to stay?

LayzeMichelle

Depending on the piece I do it up to 3 times! I'll give you an example of how I make my bodices! 1: First I get a ready-made pattern that I have already made, in the case of Impa I used the Alice's misstched dress bodice pattern that I had previously made! 2: I take this pattern and move on to the cheapest fabric, I sew it and wear it, so with the pen I make the changes I want! In this case, I showed it on WIP 1 post (https://www.patreon.com/posts/young-impa-wip-1-48916939) In these pics you can notice the changes I made with the pen to the sewing parts I want to make in the belly area. 3: After I am satisfied with the changes made with the pen, I cut them and I pass it to another fabric with more quality and wear it, then I give the final analysis of what I want to change! If everything is ok, I unsew it carefully and move on to the final step of registering them on brown paper so that I can save the pattern, and I use it to pass it to the final fabric!

Wow! I admire how detailed you are in the process, thank you for taking the time to explain it all, I'm tackling a complicated cosplay and will try out this method so I feel more confident in the final fabric.

Nah, I like to answer comments of doubts and I'm here to help!! 😍💖 I hope you will be more confident, after you get the hang of it you can do it very easy!! ✨
