Patches for To Be A King - Finally! (Patreon)

I am extremely blessed with very fast Internet. I know that is a big luxury, and To Be A King keeps adding 300-500MB or so of compressed content with each release. Let's put aside Mega download limits. It might take you well over an hour to download the latest release. You've got sexy ladies to view! You can't wait that long!

That's why I am happy to announce that, beginning with Chapter 9's release, I'll be doing something many other Renpy developers are doing: providing a much smaller patch zip file as an alternative to downloading the full thing. There are some things you will need in order to use this:

1. The ability to read some very simple instructions (or watch a short video).
2. Keeping your game folder around from release to release - not just your saves.

The patch file will be released in a separate Patreon post with each release. Chapter 9's patch file is going to be a bit larger, as I'm including Chapter 8's patch in it also, in case someone wants to upgrade from Volume 1 (Chapter 7). From here on out, every release in Volume 2 will have a patch file for each release. These should be around 350-550MB. Much smaller than the 3.5GB+ we are already at with Chapter 9's complete package. You'll need either Chapter 8 or the latest Volume 1 release to take advantage of the patch in Chapter 9.

I'll have instructions with the first patch release next month, including a short video. It isn't difficult, but I want to show the process to prevent a lot of frustration. Here's to smaller downloads for many of you!
