By Patron Votes: Flying Through Outer Space (Kirby Super Star) (Patreon)

Hello everyone! You voted among space-themed video game themes, and it's time to reveal your chosen arrangement! Here's my take on Flying Through Outer Space from Kirby Super Star, which would play in the planet map from which you select a level in the game's spacefaring story, Milky Way Wishes. It mixes some classic Kirby instruments with Hollywood orchestra to continually ramp up tension, while still adding a little jazz here and there. I hope you enjoy it!

In addition to working on quite a few video game teams this month, I've also made it my goal to completely stop using Adobe products by the end of this year. I had been using After Effects, Media Encoder, and occasionally some Photoshop to produce my videos... but I can't abide their price, their lapses in functionality, or Adobe's eagerness to introduce AI diffusion prompting tools into their suite of products. So this video was a test of building the visuals entirely in Blender and Clip Studio Paint! The Patreon credit roll is actually a 3D scene this time around! Compositing all the assets together was a little tricky to get used to, but Blender still runs perfectly fine as a video exporter, and I'm very pleased with the result! 

Speaking of Blender, I also acquired a few custom nodes that allow me to animate elements via data from a MIDI file, which allowed the stars in this background to twinkle to the melody! I hope to try more elements like this as I transition my workflow from Adobe to my perpetually-owned/free/open-source software.
