Hello! I recently completed an arrangement of the Fibbage 3 credits theme, from the Jackbox Party Pack, and I wanted to share a secret about that arrangement! You can listen to it here: https://youtu.be/6SNBpr7S0kc

Around halfway into the arrangement (near 1:50), my accompanying singer Roy Berardo and I hold a harmony for a moment, and the tempo slows to an a cappella section for the last bit of the original tune's lyrics. The harmonies are an original touch though, and they lead into a new section of the song until the end, which in no way resembles the original.

In truth, this whole part is a big reference to an obscure song to which I was listening a lot as I got ideas for the arrangement. It's a coverof a Carpenters tune called "We've Only Just Begun," by The Singers Unlimited, a jazz singer collective. You can listen to that here: https://youtu.be/p6TXR0jiOaU

The whole song is absolutely worth a listen, but the part I referenced starts around 2:24 in this link. You'll similarly hear the lead voice sing the final bit of melody while the other singers hold harmonies with "ooo," and then they lead to an instrument break that continues until the end of the song. I transcribed the trumpet and voice part of this section for the Fibbage 3 arrangement, and Shane Vincent graciously provided a real trumpet part which soooo improved the MIDI trumpet part I started with. The only other differences from the Singers Unlimited version were that the "Fibbage 3" groove is still going on in electric piano, bass, and drums, and Juan Marroquin is providing some more flute solo to cap things off.

All in all, I was surprised if anyone would have gotten the reference. But I just wanted to pay homage to a very inspiring song by placing it in a similarly structured video game arrangement! And now you know!
