Hey guys! I spent all night editing this intro for an upcoming long-ass video, but I decided that I don't like how it came out, so I'm throwing it away and will probably redo it later. It's not terrible, but I look like shit and the audio is less than ideal; and since I spent so much time on it, I figure someone should get to see it. So here it is for my patrons only! You'll probably see this whole clip again in the full video at a later date, but totally redone! If you're interested in seeing more of my channel's "cut content" in the future, let me know. Not much of what I throw out makes it to this stage of editing, but it could be interesting to watch sometimes.

A step away from your usual style, but it might have a chance at being a step forward. Are you doing the rest of the video like this?

Nope. The rest of the video will be game footage. I've actually completely rewritten this intro to the point where it's only like 40 seconds long, so this version of it probably won't exist in any full video.

I see, glad to hear it. I do prefer your current format, after all, but this one does have a sort of toned down BILLY MAYS vibe. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing cut footy or alternate takes where you experiment with different styles and stuff!

Yeeeeaahhh the whole switching between live action a bunch of times is difficult to pull off. I recommend studying 2006 - 2008 AVGN for a course on how to integrate the two. And switching between different camera angles is the most jarring, pointless cinematography idea ever. Also, maybe it's because you're accustomed to the much-less-analytical anime Youtube community, but I feel that you could be using more gaming shorthand in your video game posts to much more quickly explain stuff. I'd say Examined Life of Gaming is the most advanced at crunching whole paragraphs of game-design you already know into three-word phrases.

Same reason they use multiple cameras on TV, so they can cut between then and mask all the dead air they cut out. (The original footage of this was over 15 minutes long lol). That said, I didn't do the 2-camera setup correctly. The idea here was more to decompress this video game idea, but that's exactly why I threw it out cause it came off as patronizing. None of this is in the final version of the video basically.
