In this episode I discuss my constant need to experiment with both my content and my lifestyle, and what I hope to accomplish and change in doing it. Also, the reasons that spending money on experiences is better than spending it on possessions, and why I love delegating tasks and paying salaries so much.

Just like the fondue trip, the experience of watching a show can stay as a happy memory in your mind. Would a re-examination really alter those happy memories? Not necessarily. Even if a show might have lost its appeal to me I can be happy for what it did for me in the past.

Depending on how often you get robbed or your house burns down, things might be more permanent than memories. If you have dementia and stuff when you get old, the things will still be there. Currently the prospects of spending money on something material is more attractive than spending it on fleeting experiences. That said, I like to spend money and time on acquiring skills, like playing an instrument or being good at juggling or whatever. But then again, this is all gone when you get old and forget stuff or you are not able to do certain activities anymore when it gets physically impossible. For me, I spent the most money on things that are connected to experiences and using and acquiring skills: instruments and musical gear.

I love the idea that the fondue podcast was made for May. I can go and listen to Comfy by Endless Jess and understand that it's a scatological love song to Bloozy Floozy This doesn't just tell me about who Jesse is, but also about what type of person Bloozy Floozy is and in a small way it gives me a peek into what their shared relationship is like. I love that in the same way I can go back and listen to the fondue podcast and get this idea of pure romance.

It's not even just about dementia, I already have a bad memory and for sure forgot experiences i paid good money for.

Aw man, you stopped the Pokemon Journey before reviewing the 8th movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew? That's one of the best films, easily on par with Pokemon 3! :( It's also the last film 4Kids dubbed, so that would have been a good "end of an era" stopping point for the podcast.
