In which I determine that "working online" doesn't have to also mean "living online," and that maybe I've gotten most of what I need from the internet and it's time to stay outside.

I don't think I make major reference to anything in this one, but if I mention anything you're curious about, just ask about it in the comments.

This podcast really resonates with me. Getting older has made me realize my youthful dreams of spending 100 hours a week on my computer aren't as much fun as I thought. Glad you're enjoying the trip so far :)

Don't look at this comment Digi! Return to the physical realm! This comment adds nothing to your life! Stop reading this and go out for a walk!

I agree that the internet is often a way to just waste time. But there is a lot of high quality content you can most easily access online. High quality articles or blog posts for example. They might as well be in a magazine or a book, so it isn't something intrinsic to the online world. But it happens to be the case that in modern world a lot of it is to be found online. I do think the interaction aspect, the ability to comment and such, does add something valuable though.

I guess for some a job playing to youtube algorithms is better than putting cans of chicken up on a supermarket aisle--I think the big problem is that so many average slobs have gotten successful that others think they can get some just by playing to current trends even though most. will. never. get success. Then all you ended up doing is being a underpaid employee for massive companies to get people to watch more content that even you didn't care about. To argue over things and add value to a company about things that you didn't care about.

The issue with me is that I don't tend to enjoy the general company of people unless we're discussing shared interests.

Yeah it's true, I'm only here because I'm lonely and bored. I work 6-7 day work weeks on graveyard, all my friends are married with children, and i only have a few hours each day to do something for myself. But hey digi, keep enjoying life man. Even if you make less content, I'll still be here watching your shit and giving you money. At least someone should have fun with their life.

I think it's tiny minority of people who comment on the internet with an expectation of starting a conversation or even informing the person they are commenting at. People are just using their target as a means of expressing themselves, taking a thought and expunging it in physical form. That's why you comment on or comment at someone by making a comment not comment to. You don't talk on or talk at someone, at least not in a manner intended for them. Even this comment on your Patreon, I'm writing it for me really. Your podcast made me think about something and this seems like the best place to express my thoughts on it.

I think a large part of being a content creator on the internet who posts a range of content is understanding that there isn't a necessary over lap in them.

ITP Digi gets a gf, becomes a normie. J/k, excited your planning on doing some long form content again. I always dig that your style is ever evolving, continue to make the journey your own.
