Since Cassandra has been around for a while, but only recently reintroduced, I thought it would be fun to talk a little bit about how she started, where she went, and where she is now!

The first art for Cassandra (Pic 1) was made around Sept. 13th, 2020, less than a year into my more serious journey as a furry artist. Back then, I identified as male under the name Winston & wanted to have an OC that embodied a more motherly side that I was in touch with - which probably should have been an early sign I wasn't necessarily cis ^^;

Having her be Winston's (now Bailey's) older sister came with a load of fun dynamics, including the fact that she is, canonically, a single mom - making Bailey an aunt!

She would pop up in art occasionally through the years, before I ended up having to move under less than ideal circumstances. To help with funding, I sold her to a friend, who granted me co-ownership, and life continued - until I had my gender epiphany.

From there, I ended up pouring a lot of what I loved about Cass into what was to become Bailey - the heavy curves, the motherly attitude, even the single-color scheme, and I ended up just letting Cassandra drift into soft retirement. I already had a chubby bear gal now, I didn't feel the need to keep a second one around at the time.

Boy, was I wrong.

After I passed Beatrice on to another friend, I realized that I was lacking in the bear department - then realized that I had another one in my pocket!

This is Cass - 13'2" tall, 2,300lbs, 35y/o. Mother of two, single, and fiercely intelligent.

I hope you grow to love her as much as I do :)
