Femmes, Them’s, and Gentlemen,

If you're a sexworker, activist, ally, or art lover, make sure you get down to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) to bask in the creative and political potential of sexworker artists.

Curated and produced by sexworkers, Decriminalised Futures takes an interdisciplinary approach to the complex and often contradictory context of contemporary sex work exploring  themes of sacred space, mental health, gender, racial justice, joy, pain, disability, tenderness and desire, which become tools for solidarity and elicit conversations rooted in the need for a decriminalised future.

CYBERTEASE had the absolute pleasure to be invited to the opening as exhibition ambassadors of United Sexworkers Union, welcoming guests, answering questions and providing context to the multiplicity of sex worker experiences and their intersection with broader social, labour and movement struggles.

In addition, we brought our big fluffy buckets and fundraised for the SWARM hardship fund, an incredible resource for sexworkers in need since March 2020. We raised a grand total of £823.35! Thank you so much to everyone who kindly donated and took time to consider the rights and resources for the most vulnerable in our community.

The exhibition is open until May 2022 so make sure you go and check it out and let us know what works resonated with you.

Remember to support sexworkers, make radical art, and join your union!

Love, CYBERTEASE x
