My gf is currently showing me the series and I am in love with it! I totally want a reaction of the show at some point! It's set in New York too, so that might peak your interest a bit lol

you're right on the money, apparently they shot around 125 hours worth of footage for the movie most of which was completely improvised lol their chemistry is just too good. Im glad you enjoyed it, such an underrated masterpiece

also even though the show has a different cast its still written and directed by taika waititi and jemaine clement and the new characters are just as good in their own ways (im certain you’d adore nadja and lazlo). you need to check it out even if its just on your own time, plus theres lots of small cameos from big A list actors it’s awesome haha

My favorite Australian/New Zealand comedies are this one, Young Einstein, and Welcome to Whoop Whoop. Its tough to say which is better, this film or the show. Honestly my favorite part about the show is Matthew Barry. Absolutely one of the funniest British actors.

Jacob King

It was definitely improvised. My only fun fact is Stu is not a professional actor, he really was their friend who works in IT, so a lot of his awkward reactions are genuine. The show is set on Staten Island not Wellington but is definitely worth a watch. My favourite Taika movie is Hunt for the Wildepeople. Sam Neil will break your heart.

Josh Warren

My favorite part of this movie was your reaction to the blade costume LMAO :)
