Daredevil Ep 5 World on Fire here!! I actually really liked how they titled this episode because (spoiler alert) it seems to have a double meaning; it refers to what Matt sees and what Fisk had done - setting the 'world on fire' by blowing up all of the Russian's locations. This episode showed a bit more into Fisk's mentality as a villain, believing that he himself is doing good by cleaning up the streets but in a demented way. I'm really enjoying his character thus far and thoroughly fear him - I can't wait to see what direction they take his character! I hope you guys enjoy :)

I've seen this season once before, when it first came out, and I was 12. Watching it again as an adult, I have such a deeper appreciation for everything about it.

great reation! i'm glad you are enjoying this series as much as i do. also really happy to see your subtitles have decided to work. I wonder if you go back to view the previous episode, maybe the subtitles will work this time?

Nope they don't, but there is a fix for it. I know V is busy, but I wish she would've seen my comments in time, she could've saved her self the confusion of that last episode. If you turn off the normal English subtitles for episode 4, the foreign language subtitles will show up when they speak Russian and Spanish. So yeah.

Fisk definitely hasn't shown signs of enjoying hurting others. He killed Anatoly in a blind rage. And also, They aren't all involved in human trafficking. They mentioned they all do different things. The older lady, Madame Gao, moves drugs. Thats what a "runner" is. Drug runners. The Russians specifically are the ones who do human trafficking. We don't know much about the Japanese man Nobu, or Leland. I get Fisk is scary, but I find his sensitive nature around Vanessa really intriguing. Theres more to him than just a violent monster.

What I love about this season is that it has through plot-line of Art. How Wilson Fisk sees his vision of the future. How Dare Devil literally sees the world and we get to see it as an artist's painting like Van Gogh's impressionist paintings, who was also going blind. How the painting that brings Wilson Fisk peace, the rabbit in a snowstorm, mirrors how he wants to bring peace to the city by erasing the bad parts; wants a 'blank/clean' slate. Dare Devil's 'world on fire' is beautiful and chaotic, the blazing fire of life and choices and sounds. Wilson Fisk's vision is a white snowstorm blanket, freezing, cold, and dead quiet. Dare Devil down on the streets. Wilson Fisk in his high rise.

This episode is SUPER fun to watch if you have a proper surround sound system. In the scene where the blind guy is singing in the taxi, as the camera slowly turns 360 degrees, the audio of him singing circles the room perfectly :)
