Jinx, stands for Jinx. Fun fact, the music she's listening to before giving Silco the pearl was the song in her intro cinematic when she was revealed as a champ years ago. Jinx is probably the best name going forward.

Vi was in prison because she broke into Jace's lab which resulted in an apartment building getting blown up and it was indicated by the Sheriff that people got hurt. It was supposed to be Vander that took the fall but...stuff happened. Then Marcus grabbed Vi both saving her but also using her to pin the blame on. (Which Vi deserved, I mean she was behind the break in). Also, I know you aren't a fan of Silco but he is one of my favorite characters, in my opinion the only straight up villain of the show is Marcus.

Marcus ain't even a villain tho. he used to be arrogant and stupid as a young cop yes, but that's really it. Now he only works for Silco because he has to protect his daughter. Silco is a much worse person (he is one of my favorites as well). Silco loves Jinx and would sacrifice anything for her but that doesn't mean he's a good guy lmao. Marcus is just like Vander and Silco tbh in the way he just wants to protect his daughter but that is his downfall
