HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and safe :) and that everyone had a wonderful new years celebration!!! As many of you know, I had gotten very sick since christmas time but now that I'm feeling better and practically entirely over my sickness - more videos coming right at you!!

I was so excited to watch Apollo 13 because 1, I love that entire space exploration era, 2, i always heard it was a phenomenal film and 3, TOM HANKS.

It really did live up to my expectations and exceeded them rightfully so, although I knew what the event was and what was going to happen - the movie still kept me at the edge of my seat and I enjoyed every second of it. The cast chosen was spot on, the writing wonderful, pacing terrific, and it felt as if you were transported back into that era. It really is all around a great film and I hope you guys enjoy the movie as much as I did! :)

One of the things that still gets me watching this film is that the weightless scenes all used zero special effects. They built the capsule sets inside one of NASA's zero-g training aircraft. The takes were all limited to 30-40 seconds or so, but they actually had micro-gravity for those scenes.

Heh, "NASA's zero-g training aircraft"... affectionately known as "The Vomit Comet"

I haven't seen this since it was on tv when I was a kid. It was nice rediscovering with you. It is apparently one of the most accurate space movies ever done and the effort shows.
