Cabin in the Woods is a fun scary movie.

Tyler Gorash

Psycho from 1960 is a great horror movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock, definitely should be on the list!

Anonymous

Splinter is a really good low key horror movie.

MenuMitch

Life (2017), Jeepers creapers, Krampus? Lol i'm not a horror fan, they're too scary, but I liked these :)

Jayson Phillips

The Conjuring Series is awesome!!!

vkunia

I've actually seen it before!! Sad this is gonna be hard because the only genre I've ever really watched were horrors 😅😆

Eric Denney

Really hope you can get to Zodiac at some point. Such a great whodunit movie by David Fincher.

Stephen W. Evans

Operation Petticoat is a lot of fun, but not sure most of your audience has seen it. Rewatched it just a few weeks ago!

Anonymous

Let’s get 1917 most voted! One of the best war films ever!

Anonymous

The Innocents (1961) is a great black and white haunted house movie! (Haunting of Bly Manor used the same source material so if you've seen that, the story might seem familiar.) Also, Pulse (2001) is probably one of the scariest films I've ever seen, even if the last third has a tonal shift to more of a thriller!

Anonymous

Some good horror movies are The Thing (1982) and Event Horizon (1997).

David Martin

October picks: The Skeleton Key, Scream, Final Destination, Get Out, The Frighteners, World War Z, Blade, I Know What You did last Summer, Event Horizon, Cloverfield, sleepy hollow.

E

Best horror movies in a long time are the Insidious and conjuring movies.

Anonymous

Please add "Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War" (2004) to the next poll. It is about the Korean civil war, you would enjoy it!

Matt Gwinn

Radek Nohejl

Horror movies to watch, in no particular order: The Babadook (2014) Cabin in the Woods (2011) The Entity (1982) Blade (1998) Devil (2010) The Mist (2007) The Uninvited (2009) An old style british movie Quatermass and the Pit (1967) Horror TV series Helstrom (2020) Only 1 series Lucifer (not horror but as it stars the Devil I included it)

Anonymous

Cmon Pacific Rim is meh, nothing interesting about this movie

Bryan Tuck

Of course, I'd recommend some of the horror classics if you haven't seen them: -The Exorcist (Definitely watch the original theatrical version instead of the "extended director's cut;" I feel they got it right the first time.) -Jaws -The Thing -Alien -Psycho But some others I like: Get Out The Fly (1986) The Frighteners (this one's more "fun-scary") Creepshow The Omen (1976) The Shining The Orphanage The Exorcism of Emily Rose Good stuff all!

Jaron E Ehlers

Considering how much you like Lord of the Rings and Gladiator I highly recommend Kingdom of Heaven (the Director's Cut). Its one of my favorite movies and is a really interesting and thoughtful movie! Extended cut is a must though, the theatrical cut kinda cut all the heart out of the film and the much longer Extended cut is far superior.

Richard Maurer

Here's a few of my favorites that don't get many (or any) reaction videos - all of these appear on top 100 horror film lists Ju-on: The Grudge (2002). Better than the US remake Ringu (1998). Again, better than the US remake. Hellraiser (1987) The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) - really stylish and crazy Ginger Snaps (2000) The Re-Animator (1985) Horror of Dracula (1958) staring a young Christopher Lee (Saruman from LotR) The Return of the Living Dead (1985) REC (2007) Candyman (1992) Hereditary (2018) Midsommar (2019) Sinister (2012) It Follows (2014) House of a Thousand Corpses

Kelvin

Horror films time! Coherence (2013) Triangle (2009) Pontypool (2008) In the Mouth of Madness (1994) Host (2020) The Endless (2017) The Void (2016) Ghostwatch (1992) Southbound (2015) Videodrome (1983) Grave Encounters (2011) Outpost (2008) Bone Tomahawk (2015) Pandorum (2009) Cube (2004)

Eric Janssen

It’s basically the same list of one-fanboy indulgences every time (there it is, that one faithful lil’ vote for La Llorana, every month), with one or two new “Wha??” good additions that everyone votes for. I almost voted for Operation Petticoat just on that basis (some fan’s coming out of left field…. 😄 ), but truth is, Prince of Egypt is just that darn good. And yes, I’m seconding Abominable Dr. Phibes for October, just so folks will look it up - It’s MIA from streaming at the moment, but a search on YouTube or library disk will bring it up: Imagine if “Se7en” had wandered into a Steed & Peel episode of The Avengers ‘67.

Kelvin

any month now the film I'm looking for will get double digit numbers :) Just gotta wait the hundreds of you out!

Matt Chris

One of my favorite (mainly Zombie-) Horror Movies: 28 Weeks Later I Am Legend World War Z (not exactly Horror Genre though) From Dusk Till Dawn (by Quentin Tarantino , and also starring him alongside George Clooney. Must watch) #Alive Zombieland 1 & 2 (Zombie Horror comedy genre)

Anonymous

Just saw 1917 a few weeks ago. I loved how it was done, which almost gives a vibe like you were there with the actors. But with fall approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about an older film from the 90s called Homeward Bound. Definitely worth a watch if you haven’t seen it before. For horror movies, I would review a Steven King film every October, and I still watch one every October. Those ones could be fun like It, Pet Semetary, Tommyknockers, or The Langoliers.

Anonymous

Kingdom of Heaven is a great shout seeing as it has Orlando Bloom in it, as well as Liam Neeson.

Anonymous

Some of my favourites: Witchfinder General (1968) a classic A Field in England (2013) trippy psychological Attack the Block (2011) comedy Dead Snow (2009) non-English Dracula (2020) 3 episode BBC adaption From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) coz I love Tarantino

Anonymous

A few horror movie recommendations for you: Candyman (1992) The Conjuring (2013) The Shining (1980) 28 Days Later (2002) Donnie Darko (2001) It Chapters 1&2 (2017, 2019) Scream (1996) Insidious (2010) The Woman in Black (2012) Now I know it’s a tv series but it is only 10 episodes and is hands down the best horror story (movie or tv show) I’ve ever seen and I cannot recommend it enough. The Haunting of Hill House (2018) Happy horror viewing!!

Fantasylover4evr

I don't do horror movies but I can reccomend some good fall/Halloween ones! Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Coraline, ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, Frankenweenie, DreamWorks Halloween specials, Disney's House of Villains, Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town series, I know there's more but that's all I got from the top of my head lol

Robert Jewell

So happy to see American Graffiti on your list! Hope voters go for a true coming of age classic plus I know 2 of the actors in it and they'd love to see your reaction to it. I also chose As Good As It Gets. Both films I think you will ❤.

Checo Lara

In my opinion I consider that The "Prince of Egypt" is one of the best animated films in history, if not the best, many do not give it a chance because it is a biblical film, therefore they think it is a religious film , which is not true, I see it more as an epic story based on Hebrew mythology. I highly recommend it, everyone should see it at least once in their life.

Checo Lara

One of my favorite horror movies is "Tigers are not Afraid", it is a mixture of magical realism with a ghost story. In my opinion a very underrated movie, not many people know it or have heard of it. I share a link so you can check the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsFGeBRn5SI

Checo Lara

not so sure about that, but well they are not bat, at least the 2 first Conjuring movies

Checo Lara

Just the first 2 films are good, Annabelle, Nun and La Llorona are horrible, especially La Llorona, that war an insult for Mexican culture

Anonymous

Since u watched the first movie last year I would recommend the 2018 Halloween movie as it is a direct sequel to the 1978 Halloween and I think u would like it

Eric Janssen

American Graffiti?? Okay, not my vote, but another unexpected oddball-vintage pick--C'mon, let's get a few more, and kick Children of Men and American Psycho off the list! (And WTH was "Her"??)

Anonymous

I'm gonna keep voting for Her, Children of Men, and Zodiac no matter how many times they lose.

Groucho Barx

Oooh Trainspotting is new, and you know, cause im scottish, i now have to vote for it =)

Groucho Barx

recommendations for halloween, nonw of them spooky haha: Hocus Pocus; The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Coraline (ok this ones a bit spooky but still) and Addams Family (1991)

RationallySassy

Reccs (sorry if you’ve seen them already/they don’t totally count as horror!): - Train to Busan - Scream - Alien - Get Out - Ready or Not - Jaws - You’re Next - Tucker and Dale Vs Evil - The Mist - It Follows - 28 Days/Weeks Later - #Alive - World War Z - Phantom of the Opera (newest one) - Little Shop of Horrors - The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Chris Lüders

Hello Vicky, fine that you're safe and sound and all the stress is behind you. Especially an accident isn't fun at all. That is trouble that nobody needs and together with all the other things it certainly was a lot of stress. 🙁 Of course I'm for Operation Petticoat and that's so cute that you took the movie to your list. But I think the chance of winning the poll is quite suboptimal 😂 ... although it's a great movie. 🤔 Hopefully American Psycho doesn't win because I have to admit that I absolutely don't like this movie. But that's just my personal opinion, others will certainly like the film. Well, when it comes to horror movies, I'll stick with my mind and think The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II and Army of darkness as a trilogy is a great option. 😊

Eric Janssen

I'm not against Operation Petticoat either, and if we're going to have newbie kids saying "Oo, I just discovered 'Some Like It Hot' and you have to watch it!"...How about a comedy where Tony Curtis gets to work WITH Cary Grant, instead of just imitating him?

Anonymous

Master & Commander is THE most under-rated movie, not only is the movie timeless but almost seems to get better with age. It's easily one of THE accurate and immersive historical movies ever, and the inaccuracies that remain are easily forgiven because what a fantastic ride the movie is.

panacamanana

The one's that have been previously suggested will alwasy been in the rotation, as far as I know. And wha'ts wrong with American Psycho or Children of Men?? And "Her" is a damn good movie.

bosho11

Wow, a lot of good movies on this poll, I hope you can get to most of them! After finishing Lord of the Rings, Conan is a totally different take on fantasy. American Graffitti doesn't get the love it deserves but I think it's George Lucas' best directorial work.

james flack

American Graffiti would make as much sense to a 20 something girl of today as Romeo and Juliet did to us when we were in high school. -James

Chris Lüders

I can only agree that this film is unfortunately far too much underrated by most of the people.

Eric Janssen

Yeah, because...cars just don't mean freedom to kids on Saturday night anymore, now that they've got the Internet.

Bill Woods

_October Sky_ (1999)

Texadan

Of these, Watchmen. But I do wish you would read the graphic novel first. It's more detailed and more hard-core.

E

1917 wins ez

Topher Cast

Man pacific rim and watchmen ALL DAY!

Caleb Harvey

Hobbit (extended version) Ghost Bodyguard (Whitney Houston)

Matt Buffington

Cloud Atlas and the Count of Monte Cristo

If Prince of Egypt does win, hopefully you can go into Joseph King of Dreams.

TB

Hi please add Stalker to the next poll! :))

Anonymous

I found Joseph King of Dreams to be much weaker than Prince of Egypt.

Anonymous

Looks like 1917 is about to win. 1917 is a good film but didn't have the same emotional impact as saving private ryan imo. I would suggest people to consider watching "Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004)". An underrated foreign film that doesn't get much attention.

Checo Lara

For Halloween reactions I recommend: -Alien (1979) by Ridley Scott same director of Blade Runner and Gladiator -The Exorcist (1973) -Tigers are nor Afraid (2017) -Belzebuth (2018) -Bride Corpse -The Frighteners, directed by Peter Jackson same director of LOTR Trilogy -The Witch (2015) -Hereditary (2018) -Incident in a Gosthland (2018) -Let the Right One In (2008) -Ringu (1998) -Ju-on: The Gruge (2004) -REC. (2007)

Matt Gwinn

How is it that the 4 movies I want to see the least are winning this thing?

Matt Gwinn

These are all great choices. Except many Phantom which was a letdown for me after seeing it on stage multiple times and reading the book.

E

yep 1917 wins, ez

TJ Bigelow
