Since now I have watched the Original Trilogy and the Prequel Trilogy along with the side stories like Solo and Rogue One.... should I do the Sequel Trilogy as well?

I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about them so I'm trying to get a vote if I should react to the movies. Or should I skip them and move onto trilogies like LOTR and Harry Potter.

Help me decide :)❤

it's good to watch them because you can understand where everyone comes from and they look pretty but looks is about all i liked from them

The sequel trilogy keeps existing even though you move on to other series/trilogies for a while. Exposure to the LOTR-trilogy sounds like the better idea :) (and it has the added benefit of giving Ros a lot of job to do. *evil laugh*)

If one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all it's aspects, not just the dogmatic narrow view of LucasArts. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of star wars.

You've gone this far may as well finish it.

panacamanana

Regardless what other people think, I do believe you'd have fun with them.

Delro

Yes obviously you should react to the sequel trilogy, I know for sure you'll love it !

They are excellent movies when it comes to producing them, the visuals, the music, and even acting, but you have to create your own opinion about what the Star Wars story means to you.

Yes! React to the sequel trilogy! I personally have mixed feeling about these films, but It's not about whether or not you'll like them, it's about seeing your honest reaction to these movies, good or bad. I never understood the notion of only wanting to see you react to just movies we think you'll like.

You must finish the saga and YOU be the judge. I'm very interested to see what you think. In any case they have great visuals and characters. It's the storyline where people are divided. Go for it! One thing is for sure, you will have fun. Just don't follow the dark path. 😁 "You must unlearn what you've learned."-- Yoda

Some classic animated films I'd love to see you react to: Secret of NIHM, G.I. Joe: The Movie, An American Tale, All Dog Go To Heaven, Robin Hood (Disney)

Honestly, apartment from episode 7, the others didn't really impress me and I know others feel the same. My advice is take a break from Star Wars before returning for the new trilogy.

Movies are so dumb, I’ll have fun either way. Should be fun to hear u try to figure out why anything is happening in those movies. I’m in.

The problem with the sequels is that Hollywood thinks it’s a good idea to force a specific ideology into a story that should speak to everyone like the first 6 did. Granted, the first 6 aren’t perfect (especially the prequels), but they at least portrayed all the characters as real people with strengths and weaknesses. The sequels only focus on the weaknesses of specific characters, and make others out to be basically perfect, which is why they fall flat regardless of their production value.

It’s all about story nowadays and we can’t write blockbusters anymore, IDk why. we have mastered the art of producing movies, visual effects couldn’t be better, there are no bad actors, most music is excellent,

We all have our opinions on those movies (I have mixed feelings on them), but I think you should watch them and make up your own mind. Don't let anyone else's opinions influence your own.

They are pieces of s&^t.

I'd compromise: JUST Force Awakens. It's too good as a curiosity to avoid, and gives you an idea of where the characters were twenty years later, but Last Jedi wrecked the train, and Rise of Skywalker was left to clean up the mess. Go ahead and watch Ep. 7, but just end there, and imagine they had made better movies...It's a better ending anyway, especially with that last shot. (Remember our rage at how Last Jedi ruined it? :( )

Watch them. I enjoyed them. You may, too. I say, give them a chance, then reach your own conclusions!

I know you will love it to me their awesome and fun to watch

Mr. Writhms

Other trilogies to consider afterwards: *Blade trilogy *Indiana Jones trilogy *Matrix trilogy *Bourne trilogy *Planet of the Apes trilogy

Feel free to watch them. I just won't watch your reaction on them.

Mr. Writhms

Well... is that fair? You didn't stop at ep. 7. You saw all 3 movies. Shouldn't she get to see and judge for herself? 🤔

Tiger Chu

Dark Knight trilogy if you haven't seen them yet

Honestly, first of all the plot of the third trilogy is irrelevant. Secondly, there is no coherent vision across the trilogy or theme it's trying to accomplish. The first movie hits a lot of nostalgia, asks a lot of questions, and the second movie answers all of the questions with "fuck you". The second movie literally just starts its own story and ignores every interesting point the first movie begged the question on. And the third movie felt like a big fan service apology for the second, undoing everything that IT tried to do and picking up its own story as well. You can sense the politics of the different directors across the trilogy and it just feels so gross to watch. Honestly you're better off not watching them

Joshua s. Jackson

I agree that if you want to watch them. Then you should, but can't sit through them with you.

panacamanana

Why are you telling her what to expect of these films? Just let her watch them.

Adam Grunther

I’d just like to say that the sequel trilogy is divisive, not bad. The general consensus for the prequels is that they are terrible but you ended up really liking them. The sequel trilogy is honestly great and you should absolutely check it out. Please don’t skip them.

DGeass92

I think as a star wars fan that you undoubtedly are, you should watch them with open mind and decide for yourself, you can't just rely on popular opinion, and even if you can, you'd want to understand it so I say you should watch it once, then judge it yourself ;)

I say check out a different trilogy and then come back to it

A lot of people hate the sequels but there is also a lot of people who love them. I think you would really like them and should definitely watch them.

Jayson Phillips

watch them and decide for yourself if you like them or not. Don't let anyone tell you what to like. ♥

Caleb Harvey

Please watch the extended version for lord of the rings please

I´m not a huge fan of the sequels as most people are. But the movies have good stuff going on. I don´t understand that mentality of denying the existence of movies. They were made and they belong to the franchise, no matter wether one likes them or not. Go watch them, because you also watched Solo. SO many people just had bad words about Solo. So many reactors disliked Solo. Yet you watched it and had fun

As a lover of the prequels and hater of the sequels. I never understood the prequel hate. Jar Jar was a little goofy, and the tone was definitely different, but it served the purpose of the narrative. My issue with the sequel trilogy is that most of the time it doesn't even have a concept of what it's trying to accomplish, and the tone is completely off the entire time

E

How about Reacting to “Willow” before the sequels, soften the blow a little. And it has that vibe of original stars wars. I forget if George Lucas had something to do w it, or Spielberg, or both.

Eric Janssen

George Lucas came up with the story, apparently after just reading The Hobbit, and Peter Jackson hadn't done the movies yet. So he stuck in his old Star Wars OT characters, and the Snow White queen, and named all the villains after movie critics who'd said mean things about Return of the Jedi. Oh, and he made the entire story about a cute baby, because it was the 80's, and everyone else had just seen that Disney comedy.

You've made it so far through the Skywalker Saga! You owe it to yourself to watch all of them if you are interested. Then you can make up your own mind whether you like them or not. :)

Anonymous

hello! honestly spare you some work, this trilogy is a total failure and a concentrate of the worst about hollywood today (poor writting, poor scenario, marry sue character; bad fan service, politcal agenda etc ...) but you can still watch them on your own. you should rather have a look to other very good moovie franchise ( LOTR, Pirates of Carabeans , Harry Potter) Anyway, do as you wish ! :)

Adam Brown

The only reason to watch them is for context when you watch Hero Fan Productions. Seriously, please react to HFP's Star Wars tributes.

Eric Janssen

The reason I recommended just Force Awakens was, I know we're upset about the whole trilogy, but TBF, Rey was NOT a "Mary Sue heroine". In the first reasonably-well-made movie, she was a smart, resourceful sympathetic character for those of us who remembered seeing Luke Skywalker on the farm for the first time. Jyn Erso from Rogue One, on the other hand...WOW. Okay, she gets to singlehandedly talk the Rebellion out of giving up.

Jonathan Blake Fore

Gotta get that poll up ahead for different trilogy
