Hey guys!!

So after watching the original star wars trilogy and prequel trilogy - I watched Rogue One!!  I had no idea what it was about hopping into it, only that it took place before Star Wars Episode IV!! I was worried that since it was a newer film it wouldn't be that good but honestly.... IT WAS SO GOOD. One of my top 3 favorite Star Wars films I'd have to say. I didn't even resonate with the characters at first but by the end I was crying so LOL definitely done amazingly and really just a wonderful movie and addition to the Star Wars universe overall. I really REALLY enjoyed it and I'm so glad I watched it. Rogue One is SO GOOD and ties the beginning of episode IV together PERFECTLY. IT ALL FELL RIGHT INTO PLACE.

WHY HAVEN'T I WATCHED THESE SOOOOONERRRRRR  THANK YOU GUY❤❤

It was a ton of fun to watch and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!!

EPISODE IV Crawl: "It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy…." They made a movie out of two sentences.

Can you please do the Force Awakens next? I promise the Disney Star Wars trilogy isn’t that bad. The first two films are actually amazing. A lot of people just didn’t like them because it wasn’t what they wanted or what they were expecting. Please don’t watch Mandalorian first. I love that show, but I’ve literally been waiting to see your reaction to Episode VII since you started these movies.

I hope this gave you the confidence to ignore the noise and just watch the sequel trilogy already

So good. There are a ton of little nods to episode 4 in this movie. They CGI’d red and gold squadron leaders into this to match the actors that played them for the attack on the Death Star at the end of ep4. They also show red 5 dying, and Luke fills his spot in Red Squadron for the attack on the Death Star. In the books, Luke forms his own x-wing squadron and names it Rogue Squadron. As far as the sequel trilogy goes, ep7 is alright, but everything they set up in it is ruined along with Luke’s character in ep8. Ep9 is absolute garbage. The Mandelorian series is very good.

I was sure you'd love Rogue One, I remember being surprised by the quality of this movie when I first saw it in theatre. I can't wait to see you react to the sequel trilogy, which I'm sure you will love as well !

That’s not why people didn’t like them. They’re not films, hardly movies, propaganda pieces, 2 hr long music videos. what V for vendetta warn us of, what Han made fun of in Empire. And I get u liked them.

Senator Organa was talking about Obi. Remember she was going to him when her ship was taken over by Vader and she sent R2 to get him. One thing I think you miss the two guys Erso and. Cassian bump into at Jedha was the same two guys that bully Luke at the cantina in episode IV and obi attacked them.

The sequel trilogy sucks.

Chandler McCoy

This is my favorite Star Wars movie, and arguably the only good Disney Star Wars movie. It puts so much gravity behind the events of episode 4. Also the imagery and cinematography is insanely good. This movie doesn't get enough credit. I always compare it to being the Saving Private Ryan of Star Wars

Chandler McCoy

I'd also like to add that the only thing I wanted to see in this movie when it came out was Darth Vader be a bad ass and when it happened I nearly pee'd myself. I saw this at the midnight premier and it changed my life as a life long star wars fan.

A few things you missed: No planets were destroyed, only cities. Krennic wanted to destroy the planet, but Tarkin said “we need a statement not a manifesto”. Single reactor only. You said you’ve never seen any of these characters but you actually have. The rebel lady with the short hair is Mon Mothma. You saw her character in Return of the Jedi. Jimmy Smits played Bail Organa, Princess Leia’s adoptive father. He also played the character in all three prequels. When Mon Mothma asked Bail Organa about his Jedi friend, they were in fact talking about Obi Wan. THEN she changed the subject and said they needed someone they could trust. Organa said “I would trust her with my life.” He was then talking about Leia. The lava planet where Vader is living is Mustafar, the very planet where he fought Obi Wan.

Willow, Krull, just some recommendations. I don’t like the Disney Star Wars fan films idk why I keep watching them, don’t even consider them movies. I like watching them w commentaries on.

Anakin Starkiller

This one felt like it belongs with the 9 film. It feels like an actual Star Wars movie

Saifu

For now, Clone Wars and the Mandalorian are the next best Star Wars content left.

Gabriel Lozano, WLC

Like I said - tissues! Next time, just keep them handy for every movie you watch!

Yeah this movie put the 'War' in 'Star Wars'. That Darth Vader corridor scene was awesome. He was pretty much Jason and Michael Myers rolled into one just going on a rampage. I do recommend the sequel trilogy even though it has its problems. Some pretty good moments in them but also some bad.

It's going to take a few days until I watch the whole movie again, but I had to see your reaction to the appearance of Governor Tarkin. 😊 As you probably know, Peter Cushing is long dead, but he was in a spy movie spoof called Top Secret. Have you seen it? In the old terminated channel, maybe? Anyway, he had a weird appearance in that movie that required them to make a cast of his face, and that cast still existed. So for this movie, they found it and made a 3D scan which they substituted in place of the real actor's face. And that's how they could make Peter Cushing "live again."

Gotta do Solo next. It's nowhere near as bad as people have said

Darren Withers

Ok, trivia time. When you first saw “A New Hope”,, did it seem strange the squadrons were red and gold? The use of blue screens at the time caused issues with blue insignias, so they swapped blue squadron in the script for gold squadron. The lack of a blue squadron in “A New Hope” is explained here, as it was the squadron that flew down to the surface along with a few of gold squadron. They were ultimately, wiped out entirely on the surface, hence no Blue Squadron for Episode IV.

Adam Grunther

If you’re going to do Solo next, can you please at least do the Sequel trilogy right after that film? I know you said you might do Mandalorian first, but the Sequel trilogy is only three movies compared to The Mandalorian which has sixteen episodes. Reacting to the sequel trilogy first would allow you to get to both things quicker. That’s just my personal opinion and it’s totally up to you, but I really hope the fans aren’t convincing you to skip the trilogy or save the “worst” for last, because the sequel trilogy is honestly good. The main reason a lot of people don’t like them is because it was either different from how they pictures it in their heads or they (mainly the toxic fans) didn’t like the girl power aspect. I promise that Force Awakens, Last Jedi, and Rise of Skywalker aren’t nearly as bad as everyone says. If I’m being honest, they are all much better than Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

V, please, take a break in dramas! American Graffiti PLEASE!

Strongly recommended checking out more movies or shows with Forest Whitaker, man is a powerhouse. Ghost Dog, The Last King of Scotland, season 5 of The Shield.

Anyone has a discord link for me? The on in the welcome message seems to be invalid, many thanks

Tragically, the Emperor had many many victims. I love that this film is like a tribute to the unsung heroes that led to the eventual defeat of Palpatine. Fantastic reaction. Such a beautiful sense of emotion. I've watched this a dozen times and i was crying right there with you 😭😅

Jayson Phillips

Watch Solo and 7,8 and 9 please? Im curious to see how you like them

Jesse Darty

I'm curious as well how Solo and the new trilogy hits. Theyre considered not very good by alot of people (myself included) and I'm wondering if being im jaded by analyzing the old films and letting it marinate in our brains for years, sometimes decades made us overcritical to whatever would be on screen. I noticed when the prequels came out people were so mean about them, and I had only just gotten into Stat wars right before when the special editions hit theaters again and i really loved the prequels when I saw them. I'm wondering if maybe there's a subconscious bias that makes me pick apart the new films too much. I haven't even seen rogue one but the others.... I couldn't even stand to finish.

Joe Mallard

We're getting an Andor series going more into his backstory.

Pirateman

Wow this actually holds up incredibly well. This is the first time I've watched it since I saw it in theatre. Excellent cinematography, compelling characters and plot (Ben Mendohlson!), and such a tsunami of fan service that would make a kid from '77 explode. Without just being a 'remake'. Definitively the best thing to come out since Return of the Jedi. Imagine if this was what came out in '99.. let alone if this was the baseline for what came out of Disney. You really called how this was going to go down but still didn't want to believe it. Thems the breaks.

This was my first watch along (after watching the YouTube stuff) and I really loved it. I'm hoping that you at some point get into Rebels and Bad Batch.

Chris Lüders

Your reaction is wonderful and you're right, it is really the best Star Wars film since Disney took over and also in my top 3 of the whole franchise. Also interesting is that they used unused material from Episode IV with the leaders of Red and Gold Squadron. So the actors also got a late tribute 40 years after they shot the first Star Wars movie. 😊
