HELLO FRIENDS

So.. we FINALLY did The Tale Of Princess Kaguya!! 🌸
I’m so sorry it took so long - I got so caught up with Star Wars and moving/winter semester I hope you guys will forgive me! 🙏🏻

I was really surprised going into this movie because of the unique art style that I had never seen done before - at first I was a bit hesitant to see how it would fall into a movie type of deal but I was so pleasantly surprised. I fell in love with the art and how it was animated, it was subtle, it was delicate, and it was elegant. I love everything about it and wish we had more films with this type of traditional painting art style. (I know we can’t have that though because it was entirely hand drawn and cost about 43 million to make the movie WHOOPS LOL)   

But I loved it so much, it really was a pleasant surprise and I think it falls into my top 3 favorite Studio Ghibli films. ❤️

I've been wanting to see this! I'll be watching first time as well. Your channel is great for seeing movies I need an excuse to watch. I've been wanting to see some of the older live action movies like Seven Samurai in full. Those classics have a great cultural trade with the US, and the Westerns that came out soon after. After a decade or two, Japan finds new inspiration from the US again. Just like Anime today (Cowboy Bebop). The cultural tennis match continues. Love it!

This movie took me by surprise the first time I saw it. I had a really different feeling that's hard for me to put into words about this film, but it left me speechless. I agree!! The feeling this movie gave me was so difficult to describe, I still don't know how to, all I know is that I ADORED it. The storytelling, the art, ugh all of it was amazing. I enjoyed it very much and I'm glad you did too. :) I think everyone has similar feelings that this movie invokes, but they're so difficult to describe you never know if someone feels the same way you did after watching it! Thank you for being here and I'm so happy to hear that you love the content enough to be here. 🤗 It means a lot to me and thank you for being on this journey with me!!
