Hey guys!

So... I really didn't know what I was expecting going into this movie... but what I ended up with was not that. LOL

I honestly thought it revolved around someones psyche and tests or something of the sort.... well, I was pretty off there.😅

The graphic images, the creative ways they went about everything (won't be detailed because I don't want to spoil too much for others who live under the same rock as me and haven't seen it yet LOL), the acting as well as the pure suspense in specific scenes... done amazingly. It all fit together so perfectly.

It definitely stuck with me and I realize why it's such a renown film. It shocked me in so many ways and I still don't know if its a good thing or not LOL

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy and are just as shocked as I am throughout the film!!
Lemme know your thoughts!! 🤗

That's nothing. The original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory turns 50 this coming year. I'm 47.

Anakin Starkiller

Yeah 2001 is 53 years old 😮😮😮

Watched your full movie reaction and started the film when you did. Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorite movies because how well it was done. From the framing of actors, the acting, I just know a bunch of trivia of movies. I left comments on your video on youtube.

There is also a TV show called Hannibal. It takes place before Silence of the Lambs and uses characters from the books. The show was amazing, but it didn't last because of poor viewership (aired on Friday night when everyone goes out). And it was a Brainy show... So... Yeah. The acting in the show is phenomenal too. It's a younger Hannibal and you can feel the evilness in him too. So, I watched Silence of the Lambs as a kid (I was 12) and loved it. It's what got me into Psychology. I grew up in foster care and experienced abuse, I learned to protect myself using psychology to understand people better. Now, the things I know, I use it to help others by being a good friend and by also kicking ass in Among Us. Your reactions to movies are always great! Anthony Hopkins (Sir Tony, he was knighted) found out he had autism a few years back. He lived his entire life not understanding emotions but was great at replicating them. He is an astute observer of human gestures and mannerisms. I was told that he studied videos of actual killers and noticed that they don't blink often... which is why he's so disturbing in the movie. He also makes in appearance in the TV series Westworld (I recommend, really awesome show).

Now go watch Princess Bride! It's different from this movie and I'm sure you're gonna love it too ❤️

Anakin Starkiller

Besides The Accused which is another movie you'd probably enjoy. This is one of Jodie Foster's best performances .

Anakin Starkiller

Anthony Hopkins is a damn legend . One of the old school English actors were lucky to have him.

Just a perfect film, imo.

If you really were impressed with this movie then I'd check out Hannibal the series

Great reaction! Hated that you covered your eyes during the ambulance scene where it shows the twist, but luckily you started watching again in time to know what was happening haha

I can imagine how awesome it must be portrayed :) I actually had no clue he was even a practicing psychiatrist - that's super alarming to think about tbh LOL I'll definitely consider it, I feel like I've heard of it before but then again, I really do live under a rock so don't be surprised if I haven't LOL Thank you Sophie :) Also I love your name!! (one of my favorite names tbh 🤗)

Another great reaction! I am very envious... you are able to experience these for the first time. I remember the first time I saw this movie when I was a kid.... I had trouble sleeping for days :D

Ok, so quick theory. You notice how Hannibal fell into this weirdly southern American accent, even though his character is established as English? My hypothesis is that the character was using mirroring techniques, befitting a renowned psychiatrist, in order to compel Clarice to open up. I'd love your input on that, as I've long speculated that might be the case. It'd lend so much credit to Hopkins's already spectacular performance

Thomas Harris is my favorite author. My top novel of his is Red Dragon, which came before Silence. It first introduces Hannibal as a character, though he actually played a minor role. It did get adapted into the film "Manhunter" in the 80s (I found it boring, couldn't finish it), but they later remade it under the title Red Dragon with Edward Norton, Anthony Hopkins, and Ralph Fiennes - a fantastic film - much more engaging. Hannibal's foreground time in said movie was fleshed out more than the novel, but that's to be expected since the saga was made popular because of his character and the actor's performance. Starling visited Frederica's home because she and her roommate figured out Hannibal's message on the map. Gumb weighed down her body so that she would be discovered much later, and seem like another randomly selected dump. He didn't want them finding her first because she was his first victim, which would put too much attention on her hometown. It's "contrived randomness" to throw them off. If I recall correctly, in the novel, Gumb learned how to sew from Frederica. Yes Catherine's cat was fine. As soon as the senator's daughter turned up missing the police were all over her apartment. Clarice even visited it just like Frederica's home, where she had found naughty pictures in a box (a detail that was changed for the film), confiscated right away by the mother senator herself in the bedroom.
