The original novel by Philip K. Dick, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" is also great, I think.

I really like the two Blade Runner movies for different unique reasons. They both go together well I thought, and I haven't seen original in so long! Great excuse now ;D Edit: When you mentioned Harrison's back looked stiff. I think he hurt his back badly, I wonder if this was filmed after that.

What makes a human different from another? What is a soul? Can an android have a soul? “It’s too bad she won’t live. But then again, who does?”

The first Blade Runner is such a classic, its atmosphere, philosophy, dialogue and soundtrack.. And 35 years later, 2049 comes along and perfects perfection.. These two movies will forever be my favorites. Roy's final speech was actually co-written by the actor Rutger Hauer, sadly he died last year (2019, same year as his character dies in the film). He seemed like such a kind man, very appreciative of the love for the movie.

Blade Runner 2049 is epic and soon as I heard Denis Villeneuve was going to do Dune. I was thinking you couldn't have picked a better Director to do a 21st century version of Dune.

Hi VK, I’ve been subscribed to your YouTube channel for a while, and just joined your patreon after seeing you react to this masterpiece, mainly so I could give this heads up. You said you’re looking forward to seeing the sequel, so make sure you watch “Blackout 2022” “2036: Nexus Dawn” and “2048: Nowhere to Run” (in that chronological order) BEFORE watching “Bladerunner 2049”. They were released prior to the movie on YouTube, so they’re easy to find, all have an intro from “Bladerunner 2049” director Dennis Villeneuve, and the latter 2 even star Jarod Leto and Dave Bautista respectively in the roles they play in “Bladerunner 2049” Edit: this link is the complete compilation of all 3 of the shorts, just to make it easy. https://youtu.be/aMP1YpQSGhQ Oh, almost forgot. Just so you know, the first replicant was named Leon Kowalski. The V.K. followed by the numbers was a serial number for the record of that “Voight-Kampff” test.

So I’m sure it’s been brought up to you by now. The dream/vision of the “horse” is actually a unicorn if you took notice. The origami unicorn left at Deckard’s doorstep at the end of the movie by the other detective is an indicator that he knew what he was dreaming of, that he knew his fantasies. Because Deckard is actually a replicant. Thus Decakrd and Rachel both replicants, are now on the run.

vkunia

Yes I actually knew it was a Unicorn! I was just trying to make a joke I guess it didn't come off that well :) And ah that explains the ending scene, thank you so much for clearing that up Cesar, that's awesome and gives the movie a completely different ending in my eyes!

If you like futuristic movies you should watch The Terminator and Terminator 2

vkunia

I LOVE the Terminator films!!! I actually grew up on those. :) Terminator 2 is my personal favorite 🤗
