The dog was actually Stallone's that he had to sell because he was broke before making the movie. He bought the dog back with the money the movie made.

The "moo" line in the movie was so gloriously spontaneous; glad you appreciated that moment as much as I did lol. The first Rocky is an undeniable favorite, but 'Rocky VI/Balboa' is absolutely special for me in terms of replicating the original's moments of heartfelt contemplation and the rooting for the underdog -- I really hope you'll get through the series to experience it! Also, prepare to see more than a few familiar Philly locales throughout this franchise. :)
