HI EVERYONE!! Sorry for the late post today 🥲 this... was a really surprising, and sad episode - that included a new contender (I wanna say character but this specific one seems more like an adversary/opp more than anything LOL)

But it feels this is where the weight of Mark's lives is really start to be felt, and where he NEEDS to begin to make his decisions. :(( this was a really heavy, difficult episode to watch.

** The schedule is a bit off due to the sheer amount of shows we're watching LOL (It'll be better when I finish posting the 2 last Invincible episodes after this!!)

I would like to say the this is an easy choice, left alone or ruled by others, and for me it is; but there are plenty that it isn't easy for. I look at history. Humanity is always struggling with itself between the balance of freedom versus control. Discipline versus instinct. The age of reason versus the law of nature. History shows us that we have explored both independence and fascism, over and over. Two things are very clear: we cannot let everyone do what they want, and that humans would rather die than to exist in servitude and fear. Can aliens save us? I've been seeing this question pop up a lot more over the years. Another human trait of passing the responsibility onto someone else, lol. What I struggle with is Cecil's job. The impossible struggle that is. Donald's a robot. College kid is a robot. And now Rex is part robot. The struggle and choices to keep a qualified superhero team with a villain making an army of robo slaves as a back up. We're used to shows always bringing in new characters but this show is pointing out that this is whats left on the planet. Mental unstable pyros, cursed children, old timers that lost their will. Even Eve isn't at her best because of high idealized morals and self-doubt. She can literally remake the world but doesn't seem to want to learn how the world works in order to make it better. She wants it to be better. This is such a massive coming of age story for every character.
