This episode is in my top 5 for the entire show. There’s not really any action going on but it’s so intense anyway, and like you said a lot of that needed to come out. Since Jean is my third favorite character, you can imagine how much I loved kind of checking in with him to see where he’s at mentally. I also love the interactions between him and Reiner in this one. And then we get Levi just telling them all to be quiet. 😂 We’re closing in on the final episodes now, it was nice to have a breather here. See you for the next!

floch does have some empathy and compassion, but he's vilified the rest of the world so much in his head that he doesn't have any compassion for anyone other than eldians. he definitely cares deeply about eldia and eldians. it shows in his interactions with the main characters and other jaegerists
