You all get the opportunity to shape the future of this series. I am truly struggling to decide who Aden bonds and who he appropriates. That of course means that the question of if the third Ray dies is up in the air. So here we have our own little game of Marry, f..., kill.

Book 4 went on pre-order today (since book 3 comes out on Amazon tomorrow) so here is the blurb of book 4:

“One leaps, one slides, one flies. One will be chosen. One will be copied. One will be lost.”

Those are the words of Sybilla's prophecy. Her visions all seem to come true in one way or another. Now the lives of three young women and the destiny of a hero hang in the balance.

But Aden doesn't believe in fate. He's determined to make his own future and with it
a future for all the world.

So far he has resisted the dictates of the board and turned down the lure of the shadow. Does he have what it takes to defy destiny, itself?

Your votes and comments are welcome as I will begin writing this book in about 3 weeks. I will be discussing this in my discord as well- but the votes of Patrons will be given more weight.

No love for Valkyrie? She gets on week with him, the only other gear head, generates conflict with military and split allegiances, and he needs a buddy bond. Priska was compromised at the end of book one (I think it was one) and having another Soros is redundant in Twinkle.

In my mind, Aden has a connection with each of them. I think Priska was approached but not compromised in that she never agreed to act against Aden. Valkyrie's connections have the most upside and the most potential downside as well. Her relational connection is as you put it- as a gearhead. That is significant because it can be a buddy type connection. Besides the potential conflicts of her military commitments her biggest downside is that her power is far weaker than the other two- especially in terms of fitting in Aden's kit. Twinkle firms up his connection with Soros but is fairly redundant given who Jen is. Her real selling point from a relational perspective is how she and Aden can relate over their backgrounds. That and of course teleportation is a significant power. Priska's strongest point is the fact that she isn't connected to anyone else. She was/is new to being a super just like Aden. Add to that the chemistry they initially had and she is someone that Aden wants to trust. Then there is the fact that her power could arguably be the most powerful of them to supplement Aden's build.

Twinkle is the most deserving and has paid her dues. Priska I like but don't think she is a fit for being in the family also she made the deal in the first book so she holds that secret and Valkyrie has the baggage of the military and the military did send her to make the bond with him tying. I could see Priska being the one who dies in the prophecy maybe due to the deal she made and backs out so they take her out
