I still don't understand why King Erlan want Papa to be Prince Irus's guardian. You said Ahlf didn't think he going to meet his friend again....Did King Erlan come to meet Ahlf by himself? Did He beg Ahlf to protect Prince Irus?

Erlan basically begged Ahlf to protect Irus - at this point, a lot of supporters for Erlan became disenchanted with his way of doing things (the war) and this was when Erlan began to suspect Virion of overthrowing him. He needed a neutral but dependable person to keep Irus safe in case of emergency - which in our case, ended up being Chapter 1 of the game 😅
